"En cette fin avril peu de restaurants ouverts dans le village, vacances scolaires ? En tout cas il restait 4 places pour nous à la Taverne. Accueil adorable, choucroute fondante, spécialités sur toutes les tables, plateaux de charcuterie, flamenkuchs, c'est au milieu d'odeurs envoûtantes que nous avons passés une excellente soirée."

friendly restaurant visually but the dishes are mostly desert flades and the price is quite excessive

A little cramped environment, average food. Being close to the door is also quite inconvenient. At least it's very central View menu

We chose a baeckoffe, a towed pie with breast and vegetarian roses. Everything was fine even if it's not certain that he was cooking at home

A superb time spent in this establishment. Reasonable prices compared to the neighborhood. A hearty meal and very pleasant service. Proof that it's not that difficult to do well without taking tourists for cash cows!

You don't have to go to sit comfortably but then their kitchen is absolutely delicious. Whether it's baeckehoffe or hot pies, everything's great. Who's more, the staff is super nice. for Christmas markets, they don't take reservations. do not hesitate to go as soon as mn later it is complete.

"L'Alchemille is a 1 star Michelin restaurant located in the Alsatian village of Kaysersberg. The menu here is a surprise, you just get to choose between 5, 7 or 9 course. The chef will gives what what he wants, what's fresh that time in his garden, and what he feels like cooking. I like the element of surprise so it wasn't an issue. Before you're asked if there are any ingredients you don't eat, or if you have any allergies,Service is good, not so much fluent in English but in a way or another you get to communicate. Wine list is good and includes wines for everyone's budget, somellier is more towards selling expensive wines, but he knows his job.Dinner kicked off with a bottle of Cremant,a nicely presented amouse bouche and fresh bread, It then followed with a variety of dishes which included potato mousse, beef tomato with basil snow. deer tartare, salmon, mustard zabaion, pigeon leg, munster and 2 desserts. The star of the night was the beef tomato with herbs and basil snow, followed by the pigeon with glazed peas, carrot puree and pigeon juice. To finish off we were given some petit fours, not bad but it can be improved. We later had a chat with chef Jerome Jaegle who surely has a passion for what he does, and no wonder he was awarded a Michelin star, his creativity on a daily basis is something few can do and maintain such a standard.Total came to around €130 including mid priced wine, 9 course is reasonably priced at €78.If you're in the area, it's a place you'd love to visit. I'll be back."
