"This restaurant was near our hotel so we decided to give it a try. It is located on the busy highway that goes through the center of Asolo. We parked beside the restaurant, opened the door and there was a wonderful surprise inside. The decor is charming with fabric covers on the chairs, subdued lighting and interesting art on the walls. Our waiter was charming and spoke excellent English. He interpreted the menu which was mostly seafood. However, he stressed that the chef would prepare anything we wanted. We asked for Caprese which was not on the menu and it arrived complete with balsamic from Modena. Our main course was a pasta dish with scallops and dessert was a beautifully presented sampler dish with three varieties of crime brûlée. The wine selection was also excellent. We highly recommend this restaurant."

Ambiente caratteristico e accogliente, personale molto gentile e preparato.

We were also here last year and we were very satisfied. Most we enjoyed the dessert homemade tiramisu. But they didn't have it. Although we were again very satisfied. The staff were very nice.

View menu

La Tavernetta has new management and they focus on FISH. Service and wine selection are poor! Food's good, but in smaller portions than one would expect paying so much. Appetizers are quite good. Champagne Rice with Scampi's excellent, also in the presentation. Other dishes we have tried are in the norm: I would not consider it on the top of my list/it has a way to go.

Pretending Fine Dining restaurant ... since is just a regular osteria like many in Italy which it could be fine unless the food you serve is barely ok ... and extremely expensive considering the poor portions you serve... my fettuccine with porcini mushrooms was less than half portion ...and in addition the owner who is very rude instead to apologizing insisted to say it was a regular one ...

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal. It began with complementary prosecco and a tempura zuchini flower. We shared a tagliatelle dish with local cheese and each had the rack of lamb. Delicious! Our host recommended a local red wine, which was very good. We shared a chocolate torte for dessert, which was superb. Our host also brought a complementary fruit plate, which was very welcome. A wonderful evening and a terrific value. View menu

A beautiful traditional Italian restaurant near Asolo. We found the service to be very wonderful and helpful with the menu selections. The menu has several appealing items, making it difficult to choose your dinner, but everything we had was delicious. We were able to get a reservation the same day, but it filled up by the time we left so it is wise to call and make a reservation. The pasta's and steak were amazing as was the tiramisu...and the wine as well.

Myself and three friends were playing in a pro-am golf tournament at Asolo last week and wanted to eat out a couple of nights. La Tavernetta was recommended and didn't disappoint. I'm a foodie and and a wine lover, and the owner was happy to explain the mysteries of col fondo prosecco, produced locally, which I would highly recommend. We followed his advice in ordering, and had great food at a great price (wonderful seafood soup followed by wild boar stew) and it was clear that the place was popular with locals.

"There are many surprises in life, but finding not just sushi this good but proper Japanese cuisine in this corner of Italy was a welcome surprise. Bear in mind the pride of the Italians, it is not so likely that you find ANY other cuisine except for I am told a fairly popular 'Tex Mex ' we all have to rebel against Mama 's cooking eventually even if only for a night . So my expectations were not high, but I was blown away not just by the quality of food, but decor and service too. I am told he is leaving soon, but our waiter Riccardo spoke english perfectly and was patient and friendly and by the end of the first visit we went twice in a week was laughing and enjoying a drink with us at the end. The food ...surprisingly I am not the greatest fan of Sushi except for Sashimi it should be about simple quality of ingredients and preparation, not how many things you can think . of to throw together but europeans don 't buy into that concept , I find modern sushi over complicated, but it was VERY good, why, the care and attention in preparation quality of ingredients. My co diners were also very impressed. What got me is that for the first time outside of London or Japan I was able to eat Unagi Domburi grilled eel on rice and it was not just available, it was FANTASTIC. We also tried the Teriyaki Chicken and I was also blown away ...top quality chicken, properly cooked before the sauce added to the perfect quality and quantity consider myself to be an expert in the finer points of this dish and am rarely this impressed and it is so often just thrown together to make those who don 't like sushi happy . Lets I forget forget the Miso soup ..local wild mushrooms I think plus a quails egg that poaches in your bowl as you eat if you don 't break it with your spoon you will find this hidden gem is also highly recommended. I was with friends, but if you have a date near Asolo you will be sure to impress him/her with a night here, the food, decor, lighting and ambience mean all you have to take care of is your captivating conversation ; I massive double thumbs up from me."
