"One of our last nights in Paris in July, we headed to the Rue Mouffetard for dinner. Years ago, I lived in the Gobelins district, and had found eateries on the Rue du Pots de Fers a hit and miss prospect, but we have located and fallen in love with a restraurant on Mouffetard which is, sadly, now out of business. (R.I.P. Jardin d'Ivy) La vieille tour filled in for us, mainly because they offered magret du canard at a reasonable price. We were welcomed to tables on the street just as a saxophone player took up residence on the corner. Our first courses came quickly and were lovely. There is no place better than Paris to slurp down onion soup. The duck came in not too long a time, and even my finicky son ate his with relish. My husband scraped his plate clean, and wrote "manifique" in what little sauce remained on the surface.Overall, the food was good, but not great. I remember what truly great magret du canard looks and tastes like and, while this wasn't it, it also wasn't bad. The ingredients were fresh, the portions were reasonable, and the taste was nice. Just not great. The best part was sitting at a table outdoors on a gorgeous night in Paris with the two people I love best in the world, listening to the busquer and enjoying the people around us, all chattering in one of at least six languages I could identify. The wait staff couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming, and the wine makes everything better.I hope they're there next time I visit Paris."

Located next to Rue Muffetard, the tiny, typical street in Quartier Latin, features good food at a reasonable price. Delicious onion soup, very good steak and vegs aside (French style), great mousse au chocolat. Different menus to please everyone. Staff is polite, French style.

This is a typical French restaurant, but on the medium side of quality. It is located on a famous toursitic place in Paris, so I assume it gets a lot of attention by foreigners. There was only one guy to serve everybody, so the service was a bit slow, especially for the check at the end.

The staff was incredible nice. The food was pretty good too. The steak was a little fatty/stringy but I was so full I couldn’t finish it anyway. The price didn’t seem bad. I had the 25 prefixed menu but they had cheaper options. Sat outside...and when it started to get cold they have heat lamps.

This is a typical tourist place just off Rue Mouffetard. We had a late dinner there, which was about average. The escargots were far too small and lacking a good herbal butter. The frog legs with a Provence sauce were tasty. The apple pie was...excellent. The Fondue Bourguignonne was good, but be warned that the portions are very large, you may want to consider sharing a portion (but they serve minimum 2 portions). Service was good, prices acceptable, we paid 200 euros (for 5 persons).

We found this gem by accident and it turned out to be amongst the best restaurant experiences of our two week stay in Paris...We had our five dinners inside on the Rue Mouffetard side... Coq au Vin was excellent as was the salad with a mild Chevre and lardons..The beef foundue was also excellent with large portions of good quality beef....Duck Confit was also excellent as was the escargot. The Prix Fixe menus are what we did except for the fondue and they were a great value...Every meal was excellent...They have a nice St Nicholas de Bourgueil at a reasonable price...More French patrons than tourists, always a good sign,,The staff. especially warm and friendly Elvan, made each dinner a treas...
