"We visited this restaurant for lunch during a day trip to Bergamo from Milan. It is located right in the Piazza Vecchia, with seating outside. Our server was friendly and efficient. The Casoncelli (local ravioli) was way beyond excellent. Others in our party also enjoyed the different varieties of polenta, as well as the Genovese pasta. The local white wines were excellent. We had the cannoncini for dessert. Our server was adamant that they are NOT mini cannoli, which are Sicilian, but rather cannoncini, which are northern Italian. They were not too sweet and the filling was perfect. These were not on the menu, but ask for them."

Delicious quality lunch, from appetizers to desserts. Fresh, tasty, good service, well priced, near the historic chapel

This is for tourists. Expensive and average quality of food. Service was not as expected. Little knowledge of food and wine.

Perfect setting for lunch on a sunny day. Great food overlooking the piazza. Service was really hit and miss, however the food made up for it.

Extremely rude and arrogant bald waiter. Free entry only if he likes you (He told it's a lunch time, but other domestics enter without problems for a coffe). He looks at the floor when he talks to you.

Cenetta di coppia seduti direttamente in Piazza Vecchia assaporando piatti tipici della cucina locale con ottime materie prime senza comunque dimenticare l'impiattamento. Avendo cenato all'aperto non ho visto come è arredato internamente, tuttavia all'esterno è molto semplice ed essenziale. Servizio cordiale e puntuale.

We stayed a few nights in Bergamo Citta Alta and really relished being on the doorstep of so many restaurants. We rated this the best of the five we visited. Excellent food, well presented, and a variety of dishes for different tastes. The staff were all charming and helpful and attentive without being pushy or a nuisance! Not the cheapest we tried but not the most expensive either. I really hope to come back one day.

We had just a few hours in Bergamo between flights and we were recommended this restaurant, got one of the last tables for the evening and we were so happy we did. Our waiter, a bald gentlemen with beard, went above and beyond to give us a good experience. We had some great local wine, the tastiest casoncelli and really, really good beef with polenta, followed by delicious tiramisu. They have a good choice of alcohol-free cocktails, our son was very happy with his mojito. If I return to Bergamo, I’ll eat here again.

In a beautiful setting on the main plaza of Old Town Bergamo. The interior was filled with warmth and character as were the people. It also has an outside area on the plaza. What stood out for me was the appetizer of different local meats. For the main course, I ordered Italian Beef Brasato with Polenta. It was not in roasted beef chunks as they have in the Italian part Of Switzerland where the sauce of red wine is reduced and marinated for days, it was braised and pulled beef. It was good but a little dry of sauce and lacked a deeper flavor. The menu is expansive with many local dishes to choose from.
