Estábamos cenando en grupo este mismo mes de octubre y tanto el trato como la comida ha sido grande. Repetiremos de nuevo este mismo mes.

we thought that some wein tapas were satisfied. our younger waiter was very well known for the Rioja wines also recommended to visit some wineries. fun little place.

Nice lunch for €. Traditional restaurant located in floor. Set menu with choices for all courses. I enjoyed my salad with foie gras and chevre cheese followed by a very good entrecote steak. Lots of locals having the same set. View menu

Hemos estado el viernes 25/10. la relación calidad/precio es excelente. el menú del día es a 13€ y viendo la calidad de la comida, la verdad es que vale mucho. El único pegamento es que hay suficientes escaleras para subir y la accesibilidad no es totalmente buena. todavía, muy recomendable.

It was many year since we had last eaten here and then only for dinner. This time wee went for lunch, when the restaurant was very busy with locals. The food was excellent, our only criticism was that we were given virtually no rest between...courses and so left feeling extremely uncomfortable. I can appreciate that local workers may need to eat quickly, but others prefer a more leisurely meal.

we had a good meal and our waitress was very pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately, when she went for the bill, she was caught by someone we suspect was the manager. he didn't know we spoke Spanish and the waitress said we had no drinks. when I was with my wife, I didn't want to cause any problems, so I let it go, but it was worth letting others traveling know what will happen if they are obviously out of town. this problem is very rare in Spain, so worth mentioning. avoid them! the restaurant is well positioned in the main square and serves as bar, with the main square for dinner high in the second floor. the dining room is quite simple, with a large menu. we chose a menu of the day, and that was more excellent, with large amounts of food that arrive at regular intervals throughout the evening. wee were in order as the evening meal. this was not a challenging culinary experience, the dinner was enlivened by a large number of small children in lounge chairs, but it was pleasant and we were served by willing waiters.

We arrived in Haro at lunch time, parked the car and proceeded to the Plaza de la Paz. We had not idea where to eat but as we were looking around my husband noticed a lot of locals going through a door which appeared to...be a restaurant and pension. We followed them up two flights of stairs and were pleasantly surprised to find ourselves in a large dining room filled with local workers and families. We chose from the extensive menu del dia at Euros per person including a bottle each of wine and water. As this is the heart of the Rioja wine district the table wine was of superb quality. we came after a disappointing experience in a restaurant next door. I remembered the description of another TA review about people who disappear on stairs and a great meal so we decided to do the same. the restaurant is located in the main square and on two stairs. Once they go in, they are in a large dining room, with many locals all eating happy. the service was great, very friendly and fast, what was in consideration, how busy they were, was really good. we had to start lentil soup/sew and then had steak and cocky to follow in a beautiful sweet pfeffer sauce. that were all great, with the steak being cooked perfectly to the taste of my man. but they were desserts that made the place one o...
