"Hidden just next to the chin walk, this magnificent oyster bar serves a choice of the freshest oysters of the French Atlantic coast, wild shrimps of the great prepared on order and served with a delicious homemade mayonnaise, fresh champagne directly from the supplier at an incredibly small price, paella to order in advance, brandade, seafood soup, mussels. desserts were a feast with pears pie, refreshing sorbets, a special caramel cream with lemon (speciality of the house) and the best tiramisu of history. the small menu changes every day is written on a black board and has something for all those who love the crustaceans. oysters are served on fresh algae (which needs ice if you have fresh champagne)! and local chin lemons. we went to lunch at this owner - restaurant managed with no more than 6 tables that are simply erected with great care and honesty. a surprise so welcome after the pretentious and expensive tourist traps so often found on the coast of azur. the owner patrick is a connoisseur and a wonderful character who shares his knowledge with warmth and generosity and mimi, the Norman waitress, keeps this joy absolutely impeccable - a superb example of how things should be done. If you like the untouched joys of simply eating very well then don't miss a visit to the eight-string bar to chin. They're also taking away food. the restaurant has many loyal customers - at the table next to us was a gentleman of discomforts who regularly travels from the Italian to taste its 2 dozen oysters (in aperitif only!) call before to check the opening times - patrick speaks the most beautiful English."

We arrived at 9:16 and the chief said, "It's close because it's too late. kitchen works up to 9 pm." trip advisor is not up to date!

I visited this bar for lunch and was very impressed by food, service and price. 60 euros for 2 wines included. very friendly hosts and oysters were beautiful.

for real oyster enthusiasts, it's the only place to go. the owner is an expert who knows what to offer to his customers. map of short and very good wines. try the special oysters!!!!

this small, comfortable family restaurant is a must for seafood lovers, there are only 6 or 7 tables, so you have to be lucky to have a table. seafood is totally fresh but not cheap but wines are very good and rather cheap. everything is prepared by the great cook and his little wife from the bottom. a more French coffee and a seafood bistro that you will not find anywhere

this place is so authentic and the owners were adorable but. . . the food was too expensive and for the price, the quality was not what we expect. oysters were excellent, but soup (22 euros) and cod were not excellent without vegetables or salad. Moreover, we were the last and they turned off the music halfway through our meal, which was a little ambience killing! Go if you're looking for oysters.

the only good part of the place is the owner who is a fun and nice person. the rest - oysters not served on ice, mussels - not too bad, but for the price the portion could be more generous, entries - not terrible but not good either. desserts tend to be too expensive for what you get, and 24 euros for a bottle of mediocre wine is exaggerated. bottom line - too expensive for what you get. I wouldn't go back.

"the location was attractive. a small picturesque square slightly in draw with a foliage and Mediterranean charm. the restaurant had an outdoor terrace but we decided to eat inside. rustic decoration well maintained. abundance of natural stones and plaster walls of rustic color, nice vaulted type ceiling and terracotta tile floor. We loved him. the kitchen was visible on the path of the toilet and everything seemed chief, busy and good omen. Unfortunately, it's the end of the good news. My wife chose to start with the anchovies leaf and I am the raw ham. The anchovie was not good. Very strange flavor. Too salty. hard dough background. My ham was cut too thick, making the meal difficult. I had to ask for olive oil and gem salt. certainly not the best ham I've had. no comparison with parma or iberico. disappointing. the main dishes were the fish pot and the spaghetti with ceps. Both were a disaster. The fish were cut off. filled with small but important bones. the two rather sad gambas were small and boiled to death. the portion of fish and the quality at the price were bad. Maybe the bisque was swept. The pasta was not good and we left them. we paid 72 euros for this and a very small glass of medium wine and a bottle of flat water. I think chin food is usually not good. French are rather complacent and seem to believe that their historical reputation is enough. Not if. the area is very frequented by tourists and I guess most are unlikely to return to the area, so they think they can get away with it. It's a shame and I couldn't recommend this restaurant. we visit the family regularly to chin, so we would like to find a decent restaurant at a reasonable price. even our family seems to have a bad time. Why? It's the france."
