"Stopped here early evening after a trip to the Louvre. Sat outside for drinks- staff were very friendly and things were very relaxed. The little area around this place has a genuine neighbourhood vibe- a park opposite and a little supermarket alongside meant lots of locals going about their business to watch. Moving inside for a bit of warmth the menu of the day looked tempting and locals started appearing to take tables and order food. The downstairs is a bar / bistro atmosphere, there is a room set up as a more restaurant character upstairs but it wasn't in use when we were there. I'm sure all the food was good- simple fare well prepared. We had seafood starters and for mains, a cod and risotto dish and a lamb and vegetable stew. No room left for dessert as we had had three courses for lunch at Bouillon Chartier! I had a glass of wine recommended by the staff (€5) which was one of the best I had in my time in Paris. So- not formal in terms of atmosphere or food, and not one of those classic areas of Paris you feel you need to tick off, but a great little neighbourhood spot that will stick in the memory as a genuine and pleasant French experience."

Great food, selection of wines and very friendly staff (unusual in Paris when travelling with a toddler). The homemade terrine was beautiful and worry a trip back again!

We had an excellent and very good value meal here to celebrate our silver wedding. When the staff found this out, complimentary champagne flowed with toasts and handshakes. A really wonderful evening.

We came across this place by accident and had lunch there. It was great. One man running the whole establishment, service was brilliant and the food was excellent. Even my two girl - 5 and 11 felt welcome and they loved the food. I will go back when in Paris again.

We ate here after hours of walking and touring, had a great meal, I had the market fish-excellent, My Gluten-free 11yr old had the snails and the filling of the house quiche along with the mousse au chocolat. My husband managed to plan our next stops using the wifi with his tablet.

There is uncomplicated good food but with a little flair. We were not given a menu but shown the blackboard, which of course, was only in French. The carafe of wine is more expensive than at other places, but then it was a better quality. This is a bistrot for the French, but they welcome all.

The restaurant was excellent in both meals and customer service. Delicious French cuisine with fine desserts for you to enjoy. It was the perfect find in Paris, the staff are extremely helpful and super friendly. Thanks a lot for the perfect French meal. To note is the new name: Bigot, look out for the red tent and gorgeous French façade facing Les Halles and the church.

We have so far visited 4 times, 2 for drinks and 2 for dinner. It's very close to our hotel, and so very convenient. The staff are very friendly, and welcome us as friends whenever we go in. The food is delicious, as expected in France, but very casual. The owner calls out, "see you tomorrow!" when we leave. They are very patient with non-French speakers, and always make us feel welcome.

We visited one evening for a bite and so enjoyed ourselves. With very friendly service, good bistro food and fab music you can't go far wrong! The wine we were recommended came complete with a personal recommendation from the vineyard owner himself who was on the next table! A lovely touch. The dining room with a 30s/40s theme has intimate feel. The atmosphere during which we dined was particularly lovely on a Saturday when we enjoyed Andre Quate and jazz blues! Good food and great music- enjoy.

We were only staying around the corner and with the wealth of choices for dining in the area we chose this restaurant - particularly as it had dishes that we knew the children would enjoy. We booked a table and arrived at 7pm. It is autumn here and not particularly frantic, which is something we are loving. The kids enjoyed their meals immensley, particularly daughter who had pork ribs in honey sauce. I had the beef steak escaplope which was cooked perfectly, and hubby had the pork fillet mignon - big thumbs up from the birthday boy!Service was delightful and very attentive, but I find our 10 year old does seem to wield his charm wherever we go.I would recommend it as a nice spot to have a c...
