"a good family lunch (a holiday) in this farm inn. I had fun coming back, the very pleasant setting with the pond (canards, herron) and a little in height a field with some black pigs, goats, donkeys...The welcome of the boss and waitress is warm, a little waiting but a lot of world to serve two. We have lunch in veranda, facing the pond, a simple menu, tasteful, "homemade", good value for money, with a hearty entrance: foie gras, gésiers, terrine, salad, then in dish a grilled pig in a wood oven with small potatoes and vegetables, to finish dessert choice (burned cream, pear delica.) I recommend and will surely come back there."

A real heartburn! a simple map, local products, a tasty home made, an old taste of the good dishes of our country. The owners of the places are adorable, beautiful family atmosphere and the setting is sublime. Nothing to say just savour this delicious meal with closed eyes, there is happiness...

Everything was perfect! ... yet a holiday Thursday with great family meals, communions ... in brief many people but we did not suffer a long wait, very friendly service, and dishes: no reproach! The pig: too good! duck: perfectly cooked! desserts without moderation!! all for a not salty addition! Go! View menu

A farm inn or you have to linger. Very affordable menus and especially delicious dishes. I had chosen a salad of smoked magrets, foie gras and gésiers, all made home, a delight. then grilled milk pig in the oven and accompanied by small vegetables (divin) and to finish a burned cream. a simple wine map where you can still find bottles less than 20 €. The service is perfect (simplicity, friendliness and courtesy)The room overlooks a piece of water with a fountain. you can end up walking and see Asian black pigs.

We were the last w-e with family: 8 adults and 2 children. Guaranteed product freshness!Entered: salad with foie gras, gesiers and terrine. Then excellent grilled pig, fried fries and guttered vegetables. Norman pie for dessert: medium. All for 300th with apero, white wine, red wine and coffee, for 10 people. The welcome was warm. the smiling service but which would deserve to be a little more careful. We had 2 children 5 and 9 years old who had fun throughout the meal around the inn, in a green space, with goats, pigs, anes, herons...

"You could pass L'Escale as a truck stop, which it is, but this place attracts large number of locals and ex-Pats. The salad starters of the buffet are unusual things like whey and some amazing salads. It's hard not to pamper before you get your main course. Last time I sat right next to the pizza oven and regretted that I didn't order the pizza, so this time I was set to have one of the delicious freshly prepared pizzas (I usually eat no pizza, but this look). What a disappointment to learn that they do not always serve pizza and Friday are one of the days they do not (It is closed Friday night and so it is not worth starting the oven. Instead, you will get a selection of 3 main courses; Today there were rabbits, pork and seafood lasagna. My 3 friends chose wise and chose the rabbit. I chose the lasagna and regretted that I wasn't alone and saw two others I didn't interfere, but it would have been easy. The puddings were also a disappointment that they are stored in a cold closet, and you help yourself, they are just a little ordinary and tired my advice is to avoid Fridays because on my last visit in November the puddings were excellent one we had waiter service. Considering that half a liter of wine (red or rose, which seems strange), excellent cold appetizers from the buffet, lots of fresh bread, pudding and coffee, the 12 Euro price is a great value. The truck drivers and locals are all very good behavior and polite; it is so different than a UK truck stop and it is a great experience. The real difficulty is to find when it is open. Sure 12:00, but I think it's only open Mon Fri and not Friday night. Try it on a day when she serves her pizzas. I'll go back in two weeks and try again. But there are some other Les Routier truck stops in this area and undoubtedly throughout France."
