"Le Cap Vers was conveniently located near my hotel during a recent stay in Rouen, so we decided to give it a try. There was nobody in the restaurant when we got there around 7:30 for dinner on a Thursday, but soon people started piling in. The wine menu was good, offering a reasonable number of selections of nice quality bottles. The main dishes were really good and all were served with the fries made in-house. I got the scallops and chorizo, which was interesting and delicious. I sampled the sirloin from my parents' plates, and it was perfectly cooked and very satisfying. For dessert, we had the tarte tatin, profiteroles, and crême brûlée, all of which were a nice finish to the meal. The waitress/hostess was very pleasant and very patient and helpful while I translated back and forth for my parents and was attentive without hovering. Great experience here. Would highly recommend. Good price point too."

The house signature dish of scallops with chorizo sounds wierd - but "Wow" what a flavoursome dish!! The house profiteroles are also to die for; and this was all kicked off by a fab slab of fois gras and yummy toast!!Accompanied by a demi of Begerac - Delicious!!

We were staying around the corner at the Ibis Hotel and discovered this restaurant on our first night there. The owner was very welcoming and translated the French blackboard menu for us. We ate there three times and thought the food, staff and ambience excellent....We tried different main courses over the three nights and were not disappointed. We would highly recommend this place. It is only small so get there early. They open at 6.30pm. and will give you a very warm welcome. View menu

Sorry tripadvisor but you can't always be right. No way should this have 4.5 stars.Welcome fine, place not yet warmed up as only 7 pm. View of street corner and traffic jams.Soon busied up with french diners.Why?2 Menu Cap Vers at €25 each-tasteless foie gras and salad Romane with bland mozzarella .Lidl's own tastes better.Main courses of salmon and scallops/chorizo served not even lukewarm on cold plates-scallops not seared-more like boiled in the (pleasant) creamy sauce. Homemade chips best thing on the plate.Kids burgers small but acceptable-so they should be at €13 each. It's not a disaster but do not expect a 4.5* meal-there are lots of places in Rouen cooking much better than this for the...
