"Rather than choosing the safe option of steak (pave,) we made the mistake going for a local speciality. We didn´t quite understand the description on the menu or the explanation of the lady serving us. In hindsight our learning was to go for the safe option (our mistake really, the restaurant could not do much about it). What we choose was a local speciality with beef and only two were available, so I assumed it must be really good. The dish we were given was kind of a cheeseburger with a few small pieces of steak that was slightly overcooked. The fact is that I really dislike cheese (not easy in Switzerland) and I didnt eat anything apart from the pieces of steak. The rest of our company chose a fondue and I was glad that we were sitting on the terrace, if you know what I mean, so it was just bearable. All in all not a good experience. The only good thing was the very charming service and that fact that we sat on the terrace!"

The place is nice and the people very friendly but the time when you can find the kitchen open is really short! The desert were ok

Possibly the best fondue I ever had — and one of the friendliest staffs I’ve had the pleasure of being served by!! Highly recommended!!

Handy for lunch when visiting the nearby chateau and wine museum. Decent simple food and an interesting local wine selection. Would be happy to return.

Too bad because the waitress was professional. The area is lovely, historic architecture...beautiful Chateau Aigle and Wine Museum down the street. There are so many good restaurants in the area. This one is not a good value.

As the kitchen was closing (of course, 14h in Switzerland on a weekend.) we were proposed to have a fondue or filet de perches. As this was the 2nd restaurant which we were visiting and didn't have high hopes to find something else at this late hour, we were happy to have 2 options at that stage. My husband I both had the fish which was pretty good and the accompanying fries were OK. They were a bit too soft, but I prefer this to frozen fries and by far!We took that apple pie with caramel for desert and it was delicious.Service was welcoming and caring.

The restaurant is realy close to the Chateau Daigle and has a picturesque terrasse outside. The inside is as beautiful that it is charming. The host and the staff are smilling welcoming and realy nixe people. The food is just fantastic. We were 8 and chose from the whole menu:the steak with mushroom, carpaccio, lazagne the salad with meat and last but not least, the fondue which was better than the Michelin graded restaurant in Geneve. The service was excellent and everything was so tasty we cleaned blank the plates with bread. The price are reasonable and the food is worth every dime by the bite. The local white wine was excelent and we all enjoyed it very much. This is a restaurant to go to i...

"we ate at the communal pint thanks to a good purchase on the qooking site. and it was a very nice discovery, the restaurant being totally unknown to me before. A modern, cozy decor, two separate parts, one brewery the other more gastronomic, one terrace. a very friendly welcome. We tasted the menu 8 dishes in agreement with 3 wines. The dishes are superb, whether for the eyes with a remarkable presentation and an original dishes but also for the nose with subtle fragrances and for the palate with tastes sought but harmonious. A mention for the sorbets, great chef's specialty, regularly added to the dishes and cleverly married. the tip of freshness was a plus, while it was about 34° outside. meat and fish cooking is controlled. We especially enjoyed the foie gras, its red and orange beet sorbet and the rhubarbe chutney - the low-temperature cooked poultry poultry with its high-pitched reduction - the summum was the apple poached with spices and its Breton biscuit, we add a little raw pistachio and a salty caramel butter and get a dream meal end. And I'm not a dessert lover. A single small flat for the carrot velvet and its fruit sorbet of passion, the velvety lacked peps. But it's just a personal opinion. A lovely service, with regular pace, the choice of wines was good with a beautiful Valais discovery (fin bec.) a very good price for the quality of the kitchen. We exchanged a few words with the chef, who does not hesitate to share his passion, without giving his secrets of course.A great gastronomic moment and a beautiful discovery in Aigle.Bravo and thank you."
