"We were interested in this place after some research on Trip Advisor. It is on a small street away from the old port, and literally like a hole in the wall. It has less than ten tables inside and three outside. The lobster soup was served in a mug, and was thick and delicious. We also had the no. 2 oysters on the menu, which were big, juicy and salty. It seemed there were only two people working at the "kitchen" and serving the tables as well. Perhaps other than the soups, they do not served food that need to be cooked to order. But in addition to the oysters, they also have a few other thing on the menu. If you are looking for good local flavor for the money and don't mind a small place, this is definitely a good choice."

Small eatery, great fresh seafood and wines selection, friendly service and affordable prices. Location very close to the Vieux Port.

Great for a nice lunch in the centre of town but far from the madding crowds. Very fairly priced food and wine and lovely friendly service.

We have been on several occasions and every time we have eaten incredibly well! So fresh and quirky and delicious! Totally recommend! Do not be put off by the negative comments! This is a real find!

we had a tasting of very fresh oysters, several locally made terrines and escargot terrines. It was a gréât way to taste some unusal local specialities in a friendly small setting. It is on a side street just off thé port.

Cozy place for a seafood snack close to the Vieux port of La Rochelle. We had a selection of bulots (whelk) ,rillettes sardines, soupe poisson and huitres bucholeurs(oysters). Everything was delicious, especially the fish soup! Highly recommended for a pit-stop.

Great small restaurant in a very busy side street, good service and a good meal for €25 each, they mixed up our order and took away what we thought was our meal after we had started it, a bit odd , but they were very polite and it didn't detract from the whole enjoyment.

Went with lunch with hubby. Ordered the house of the day salad. Wonderful, very generous portion with melon, ham, and prawns all very fresh. Hubby had a risotto which a really enjoyed. Toilets clean and well stocked. Service was a bit slow, considering it was past their busiest time. Had to ask for the bill several times. Would recommend highly.

IWe are an elderly couple. We found the food to be quite good but when I reviewed the bill because it seemed excessive and I found that we had been charged for two bottles of wine rather than the two glasses of wine that we had ordered. On pointing out the mistake to the waitress/ manager the response was "silly me" with no hint of apology or regret. We could have easily paid the original bill without checking which I generally do and I trust that we were not seen as an easy mark after a generous nights drinking.

Tiny bar with table too small to fit the large trays in which the food is served. This is not to say the food was large in any way. It's not a restaurant, just a tapas bar with rather mean sized offerings of local pieces of cheese, sausage, terrine etc. Which were all quite nice and some better than that but nothing cooked except The fish soup with flavour one up from water but which they replaced with crab soup at once. That was the only cooking on our plates which cost £20 a head plus wine. I had a glass of very poor Sauvignon blanc, but the red I tasted was ok. So a disappointing snack.
