"Having been visiting Morzine for many years, we stumbled across this place this week by approaching it from the back (the snowy grassy hill just next to the Pleney bubble lift the ESF baby ski zone). From the front it looks just like a ski shop, but at the back there is a lovely cafe area in a sort of large hard plastic 'pod ' or dome, leading out to a terrace which is right on the piste front for the beginners lift Mas Verjus and the sledging area. Food burgers, bruschetta (like a giant single layer croque monsieur), pasta and a good value E10 kids menu. Food was delicious, frites fab, and the service was super lovely our waiter was so friendly with our kids. This is a fabulous place for a family, we could sit out on the terrace and watch while the kids went up and down the sledge run for an hour, and inside there 's a small play area with a few games and books to keep them busy too. We will definitely be back, hopefully when there 's more snow and we can ski to the door!"

Apparently, in August. We hope so because it's a very good address.

Hi, Michel. I'm surprised not to see any opinion about the Matafan the best restaurant and bar in Morzine. See you with the travelling team.

On a sunny summer evening, this place is recommended as somewhere to sit chill and just wait for the Parapentes to land. I went for a Alligem beer which tasted of ribena, yummy. Good service too

We visited this restaurant to get a lovely view of the ski lift and parachutist's landing, the outside bar area is comfortable and the staff efficient and friendly, we enjoyed a few bottles of wine over a couple of days and would certainly recommend a visit if in the area,

ideal location for eating while children ski in front of the street (very simple green trail). simple but very good dishes (very good burger bread). a special mention for some homemade desserts, including raspberry pie, exceptional. standard price for a restaurant in the resort

Came here with a group of friends to enjoy their special night of Moules Frites and live music. Never been here before and was very pleased we came. Great service, very friendly and our dog was given a bowl of water straight away. Particularly loved my apple cinnamon tiramisu for dessert.

I rented skis poles for 8 total days during the March. The staff really tries to accommodate your skill level and skiing type in what they rent to you, and will work with you to exchange equipment for varying conditions. I found the staff a pleasure to work with, and always enjoyed each interaction. Every time I left the shop, I had a smile on my face.

We’ve been hiring skis here for a number of years...there’s really little point hiring anywhere else if you’re skiing in Morzine: the equipment is reliably high-end (and there’s some great kit fir sale as well). Proprietor and staff super-knowledgable and friendly, and the food is good too. You can ski straight down to the terrace behind the shop for an apres-ski drink with a superb view. Recommended.
