"If you want to join the Leon Lovers Club think again! Apart from the staff taking ages to serve because they were too busy chatting with customers, my first experience of Leon Fenchurch Street was very disappointing. I ordered the chilli con carne, which seemed pretty good value for £4.95 until I got it back to my office. There was barely more than a desert spoonful of sauce, which was insufficient for the amount of rice which in turn was not a great deal. Still felt really hungry and wish I had gone to Wasabi for a Katsu curry! Won't be visiting again!!!"

This restaurant delivers exactly what it promises. On a chilly December morning, a bacon-wrapped sausage and a cortado are worth the visit.

We had lunch in this restaurant which specialises in lunch time foods such as boxes, pittas and burgers, as well as Greek food. I had a Lebanese Meze Box and the food was very tasty. View menu

I like this particular Leon a lot. The people are friendly and you can always get a seat. I do think that Leon has (as a whole) gone a bit down hill recently in terms of the type of food it is producing. It just seems cheaper and less health conscious as it used to... still like this one though.

While visiting London for business, walking around looking for a place to eat I came across Leon on Cannon St. I looked inside and liked what I saw on the menu, chicken, and beef. I chose to go with this beef teriyaki bowl to go. Got to the hotel and starting eating food was very tasty and filling.

After enjoying the Moroccan meatballs with rice meal at Leon, Canary Wharf, I expected the same standard at Leon on Shaftesbury Avenue today. However, the meatballs were dry, hard, and a little shrunken, having obviously been over-microwaved. The rice was half-cooked. Very disappointed as one expects the same standard for the same dish at a different Leon restaurant. View menu

I have been eating in Leon's for ages, I love their food and their vegan options. Today it's the first time I am giving bad review and I believe something is wrong with this one branch of Leon. The Brazilian bears dish was so dry and barely could eat it, plus it was cold. The potato chips were raw...so disappointing. I guess the cook staff in this branch are not doing what they supposed to do or the quality of Leon is just going down.

I frequent this Leon location near my workplace and I particularly love their breakfast muffins, especially the sausage and egg, and avocado and halloumi options. I find them to be a great value when paired with a coffee for around £4. However, I was not as impressed with the other menu items. Both the chicken nuggets and chicken wrap left me feeling disappointed and slightly queasy. I would suggest this place for a quick coffee and breakfast, but not necessarily for lunch or dinner.

"The decor of the restaurant is really lovely. We were greeted as soon as we arrived. We placed our orders quite briskly. We received complimentary bread and olives, which was a nice touch. Our Bruchetta starter arrived a whole hour after we arrived, which was disappointing and far too long to wait for a cold and easy starter. The menu did not specify that the prawns on one of the bruschettas were raw! The waiter said service was slow because they were busy with Uber Eats and Deliveroo. Clearly not prioritising paying customers, who pay a 12.5% service charge, unlike online customers. Eventually, our main courses arrived. My pasta was only just cooked, so close to being undercooked and hard. They ran out of ricotta and replaced it with the tiniest amount of cheese so I asked for some more. Since ricotta was supposed to be the main ingredient of the dish. The tuna steak was lovely, and the veal could have done with a thinner breadcrumb batter. The sides, chips and zucchini, were £4.50 and very small portions for such a cheap side. So that was slightly disappointing. Overall, the pinot grigio white wine was very drinkable, and they brought tap water when we asked for it. And the whole staff were very polite. It was a shame the service was so slow, and the food could have been better for the price that it was. We also felt it was overpriced for the location it was, zone 2 London and not in the West End."
