"Our visit to the restaurant was very disappointing. Despite being on the menu, there was no cod or pizza available. The 2 glasses of Coke we ordered were completely flat. We had to wait 25 minutes for our food, even though it was not busy at the time. There were no baby changing facilities, and when we asked at reception, we were told to use the toilets in the hall, with no changing table in the men's bathroom. The sanitizer was empty in the men's toilets as well as at the entrance to Leonas (now located in the bar area of the hotel, which was cold and not what we expected from a tea room). The prices were very high, with a top hat costing £2.70. The food quality was very poor, with frozen chips and goujons from Lynas. Overall, the experience was not worth the prices they charge."

Beautiful tea room. Tray bake heaven! Unbelievable huge scones. Excellent service. We tried cherry, strawberry and sniggers bar, cheese and mustard, all superb.

We had a delicious small fruit scone with jam, cream, and butter. We enjoyed sitting outside with our dog while soaking up some sunshine. The service was lovely. Highly recommend this place.

A beautiful lunch served by friendly, attentive staff. The well thought-out layout and social distancing measures were very reassuring. Excellent coffee and chocolate cake to die for. Highly recommended. View menu

Always liked coming here until I took mum this week. She wanted to takeaway piece of cake ..... no reduction in price for takeout and charged £3.95 for minuscule piece of cake ...she is a pensioner and this was a pure rip off

We stumbled across this place by accident, really we were just looking for somewhere to shelter from the rain! We were pleasantly surprised by Leona's Tea Room, the staff were very friendly and there was a great atmosphere. It was mid morning so we just had coffee and scones which were delicious but we definitely hope to return for something more substantial.

Lovely little spot. The food, service and decor is much superior to that if rivals Panky doos and Dora’s. Only thing is I would like to see a bit more option on the menu. Like chips with the burgers. The selection of traybakes are fantastic. Reasonable price for the size. From all of the bread and cakes that I have had they have indeed been excellent. I would return and I do visit every other week. View menu

When ordering tea and coffee with your meal, remember to request that it be served alongside your food. Otherwise, you may receive it first and it could become cold and over-brewed by the time your meal arrives 30 to 45 minutes later. During our visit, we expressed our disappointment to the staff about the lukewarm beverages and were informed that it is the responsibility of the customer to specify if they would like their tea and coffee brought out with their meal.

Visited Leona’s for brunch with my parents and children on our first meal out since lockdown. All of the Covid procedures in place were very reassuring hand sanitiser, tables spaced apart, staff in visors. We had a selection of meals from the breakfast menu and all were delicious. It was all so good we rebooked for lunch a few days later. Although it was busy at lunchtime staff were very attentive and we didn’t wait long for our food. All food was excellent. Would definitely recommend.

"We chose this as a convenient mid point venue for a birthday celebration at the Lodge Hotel Coleraine. We were greeted by unsmiling staff and shown to our table. We made our choices. The starters arrived promptly and were OK. When the main course arrived, the waitress unfortunately overbalanced her tray and the salad with blue cheese sauce slid off into my friend's bag and all over the floor! These things happen but not once did she apologise. My other friend had chosen the nut roast. This had been over microwaved to the point of cremation. She drew it to the attention of the waitress who just looked blankly at her! She finally twigged she should ask if she'd like a replacement. Again no apology. The other two mains, fish, were uninspiringly mediocre to say the least. When we'd finished these, a waitress came up with the dessert menu and said we could choose one on the house. I chose Christmas pudding which turned out to be sponge with 6 sultanas!! My two friends wanted liquer coffees and it took 20 mins before we could attract anyone's attention. We were then told the coffee machine would be closing in 10 minutes! We got the coffee and I asked for the bill and a chat with the duty manager. The chap came and chatted to me whilst I explained our unfortunate experience. He was very apologetic. I asked him to review the bill before presenting it to us. He came back with a cheesecake with a candle in and took £5 off the bill! Never again! More training def required."

"Visited lost Found in Portstewart last Friday afternoon for some lunch. Checked the outdoor menu which stated food served until 3.30pm. Went ahead on inside. Started to briefly read the menu at the till as aware from previous visits that you order on arrival yourself at the counter. Was told by the female counter staff that we had 8 minutes to place our order and to take the menus to the table. We did this. Then when we said excuse me to the same member of staff, from our table, that we’d like to order, we were told we had to come back to the till. This made no sense whatsoever. From the moment we stepped in and were told that we had 8 minutes to order should have been the red flag I guess. Friday afternoon, not long till closing, they just didn’t want to be bothered prepping two rounds of food, The two members of staff in the premises had the worst attitude and no ounce of personality to be in the role that they are in. Every thing seemed to be a complete bother. May I also add, the food was very skimp, re portion sizes plus they seem to care more about the presentation than the food itself re the logo branded paper underneath the food. Try attempting to cut sourdough bread on this, not easy unless you want a mouthful of paper. Then when it comes to hot drinks, no sugar or milk provided. Yet again had to approach the till and ask for these to be provided with milk in a paper cup yet another couple had a glass jug of milk on their table (less dishes to wash I guess) and no white sugar at all, had to make do with brown sugar for tea. When asked for refills of hot water we were given a half full glass of this and then when asked for it to be filled up, yet again a whole botheration. Oh and don’t even get me started on the toilet facilities. Dingy to say the least. The premises in portstewart should never have reopened when it did as Lost and Found, previous owner/cafe was far more superior in all ways. Will not be back"
