"having read the native comments that some people have been talking about this place, I am of the opinion that they simply did not grasp the concept of this restaurant. Indeed, it is true that the galing ftes is a tiny restaurant (in the vicinity of 6 tables, 8 if you count the terrace however, there is a certain atmosphre of intimít and calm that one finds only very rarely after other Parisian restaurants. The dcor is not bad got as some try to argue, I would say it is unusual and provocative, which makes it indniably out of the lot. the second wall is covered by business cards, postcards and other words of various origins. The price of the dishes is generally reasonable and we eat very well. seasonings are dlicious and the meat is tasty. We were a group of 5 people and the service wasn't slow, considering that there is only one chef and one waitress. I highly recommend the following dishes: duck plate or chicken plate, snails in between as well as onion soup. desserts are dliciously!"

Traveling from Angers, I missed lunch and was quite hungry. I came on a Rick Steves recommendation. The onion soup was deep and rich and I wished for 1/2 again as much. The bread had a burned edge that weakened the last bite. The veal stew was delicious and perfectly balanced and loved the flavorful olives. But again I could have used a bit more. I can surmise that normally more would be wasted. I am not a desert person but the chocolate mousse was glorious like liquid fudge. But too much of that. There is something sour about the smell in the air though and I would not return except to see if it had changed b/c the food is marvelous.

It's a hole in the wall...if you didn't know it was there, you might miss it, if you just looked in and saw the wall plastered with bra's and years and of photos and notes, you might not give this place a second glance. But don't. The owner of our VRBO recommended the restaurant and it was one of our favorite meals of our vacation. the three course meal included the best mushroom soup we've ever had, a layered eggplant and goat cheese 'lasagna' that had us wanting to lick our plates. The beef bourguignon was the best I've ever had. The desert was simple and somewhat forgettable but overall it was exceptional. It's owned by a charming husband and wife who made us feel like we were a guest in...
