"This restaurant has recently changed hands and the owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. Situated in the marina at the Arzal Barrage, many of the customers are from the boats in the marina, but we saw groups of office workers having their lunch there. Their three course lunch menu looked both good value and interesting at 11 euros including a glass of wine, but we just had a couple of crepes and cider, although we did have excellent steaks one evening, which, including a couple of beers before supper, a pitcher of wine and a shared pudding came to 40 euros. The view is out over the marina and the lock through the barrage and there is always something going on! Out of season there was plenty of room either inside or out, but when the boating season gets seriously underway, I would suspect that getting a place will not be so easy."

Very good reception, hearty meals and an addition of very reasonable questions. Very warm.

It is no longer called L’Inflexible! It’s now Newport. Seems an odd name for a French cafe restaurant! Seems to have changed hands again! Change of beers. Change of umbrellas. Food much the same selection.

Ok to go for a drink. Even then, not exactly welcome! Rude management. Recently new management. They. have much to learn, about how to treat their customers!. I predict they’ll be gone by next summer I hope! View menu

From welcome to plaque, nothing to say. It was perfect. We had a good time. special mention for the morgate blanquette. A pleasure. Bravo to the team knowing that the current circumstances are complicated for the restoration environment.

the restaurant faces the Arzal lock on the nasty side. it has a large shaded terrace. menus are correct and prices are very reasonable. several choices of local cakes of good quality. the staff is welcoming and yes it is true when there are people that you have to wait a bit. Like everywhere. in synthesis, a good address on the arzal to eat without ruining.

On a very hot day my husband and I popped into this restaurant (after having lunch there) for a cup of tea. The tea came without milk, , I asked for some and was charged an extra 2.50euros for a small jug of hot milk!! This is the first and only place where we have ever been charged for milk.I did question the charge but all I got was a shrug from the very rude and insolent waitress. who incidentally had previously questioned what I had had for lunch. I give one star for the other waitress. View menu

Called into the barrage looking for a sandwich or something light and happened to see the blackboard and found the set lunch was just €11 and that included 250ml of wine! So decided to give it a chance and it was very good especially for the money. Started with an italian salad, followed by hake in a rich butter sauce accompanied with fried aubergine and chips, followed by creme caramel or a Brittany cake with cream. All were very tasty and service was OK. It was a brilliant day and happy to sit in the sun awaiting the next course.

Great place for a drink or basic meal, overlooking the marina. This bar restaurant has changed hands, so often, in recent years, but hopefully, the most recent owners will make a go of it. They are friendly and really work hard. The food on offer varies depending on time of year. Out of season there is a self service buffet starter, main course, simple dessert wine for about 11 euros, but in season, this changes to become a la carte limited but adequate menu, I am not a burger eater, usually, but they do a mean burger! Mussels, omelettes, fish and chips, all good. Also, they do very nice ice creams and crepes, all day! Hardly gourmet but great value and atmosphere.
