"Located just off Regent Street, this restaurant received high praise, so we decided to have lunch here. They offer a variety of home-cooked dishes, and I chose the chilli con carne. The portion was generously sized, with just the right amount of spice in the chilli and perfectly cooked rice. It was delicious. The restaurant was very busy, so we opted to sit outside. Surprisingly, I paid for my meal after eating it, but the service was excellent. At £8.50 for my chilli, it was well worth it and hard to beat in central London. This place is a hidden gem."

Excellent original English breakfast!!! I definitely recommend this hidden place if you want to take a look in the traditional English morning.

Searched 'greasy spoon ' on google maps and it came up with this one. It was great, we ordered one full breakfast and one scrambled eggs on brown toast. Good value, though coffee was very expensive

I come to central London every now and then and this is the first spot I head to. You can't fault this place at all. The food is fantastic, the price is brilliant and to top it off the staff are amazing and attentive.

Had one of the best breakfasts here! Highly recommend if you just want a simple traditional English breakfast. The lady who served was incredibly accommodating and very friendly as were all the other staff. Would highly recommend and will be going back when we visit London again. View menu

From building site workers to BBC producers, everyone is welcome at the Little Portland Cafe. It's cramped, but it really doesn't matter. The staff are friendly and fast. The food is generous and wholesome, all freshly prepared, and good value to boot. Impossible to leave without a smile.

I was looking for a quick breakfast early in the morning and this cafe was just what I needed. The Big Breakfast arrived within five minutes of ordering and it was delicious. The price of £8.50 was fair and the staff were friendly. The cafe was busy with local tradesmen, making it a great spot to grab a bite if you're in the area.

What a great place this, great food the full English was as good as any I’ve had in other greasy spoons… the tea was a proper cup of builders, without me having to ask for it… great price too large full breakfast, 2 teas, toast and a Diet Coke for £11 2 mins from Oxford street absolute no brainer.. super busy but always a space to sit def coming back View menu

I found this family run cafe whilst shopping in Regent Street today. The Little Portland Cafe was quite simply a really special experience in the heart of London. I had a very generous salad nicoise, a homebaked Florentine Earl Gray Tea. Fresh food friendly efficient service. Total cost £12! Amazing value for the quality of food. This cafe was catering for a very busy lunchtime trade mix of both tourists and local workers. I think it's a well kept secret!

I had heard fantastic things about this cafe but I was extremely disappointed. The cafe was extremely crowded, making it difficult for the staff to move around. There were only two people taking orders, resulting in a long wait for the food to arrive. Despite hearing that the prices were reasonable, I found the cost to be quite high for what I received - a small jacket potato with just baked beans, a small amount of lettuce, tomato, and cucumber, along with two regular coffees cost £13.60p. The price was even higher than a full English breakfast.

"The decor of the restaurant is really lovely. We were greeted as soon as we arrived. We placed our orders quite briskly. We received complimentary bread and olives, which was a nice touch. Our Bruchetta starter arrived a whole hour after we arrived, which was disappointing and far too long to wait for a cold and easy starter. The menu did not specify that the prawns on one of the bruschettas were raw! The waiter said service was slow because they were busy with Uber Eats and Deliveroo. Clearly not prioritising paying customers, who pay a 12.5% service charge, unlike online customers. Eventually, our main courses arrived. My pasta was only just cooked, so close to being undercooked and hard. They ran out of ricotta and replaced it with the tiniest amount of cheese so I asked for some more. Since ricotta was supposed to be the main ingredient of the dish. The tuna steak was lovely, and the veal could have done with a thinner breadcrumb batter. The sides, chips and zucchini, were £4.50 and very small portions for such a cheap side. So that was slightly disappointing. Overall, the pinot grigio white wine was very drinkable, and they brought tap water when we asked for it. And the whole staff were very polite. It was a shame the service was so slow, and the food could have been better for the price that it was. We also felt it was overpriced for the location it was, zone 2 London and not in the West End."
