"What an amazing experience! Berlin has a bewildering array of vegan options at all levels of the market and I happened upon the Lucky Leek by accident. It's a lovely place, very comfortable, dress up/down to suit, no-one cares. The food is spectacular in appearance,...texture and taste and the quality of service is impeccable. No-one constantly asking you if you want to buy more drinks, no-one trying to be your friend so you'll leave a bigger tip, just consummate professionalism but in a friendly manner. It's the small things that make service special. Drinks deliveries staggered to be delivered when the previous one is just finished, so the wine doesn't sit on the table warming up. Perfect explanations of the constituents of each dish (to do it in English was mightily impressive given the range of elements to each dish) were a perfect example of high quality but not intrusive service. The food was exceptional, but despite the quality of the food, the wines, the service, I was delighted with the final bill. Excellent value for a super night out and unreservedly recommended."

The food was great good taste with a large variety of different tastes, textures etc. Service was slow so set extra time off for even just a course dinner.

My vegan girlfriend and I tried this Michelin restaurant and we were pleased with the food. The staff was friendly and the food was good. All in all a good experience for a good price. x courses with sodas costs

Lucky Leek is a great vegetarian restaurant. They offer a few options in terms of number of courses. The food is creative and thoughtful. I'm not a fan of jellied items, but aside from that, the meal was delicious with friendly service. View menu

As a lifelong vegan, I can't tell you how great it was to find this place when I was holidaying in Berlin. I really did feel lucky (as the name might suggest My first thought was that it was Welsh cuisine, since it's named Lucky...Leek, but once I stepped inside, those fears were quelled. I immediately saw that it was high-end food, with a cute and cosy atmosphere. I'll definitely be coming again during my next trip to Berlin! Bis bald, Lucky Leek!

Not our first vegan tasting menu but certainly a cut above. We enjoyed the chefs menu, and in particular loved the variety and complexity of flavour and texture in each course, from the “egg salad” on a tiny toast as an amuse bouche, to the...pear crumble for desert. We felt the meal was nicely paced, service was friendly and efficient, and we enjoyed beer with our food rather than wine (just love the German wheat beers should be a pairing option A very good meal and totally deserving of the comments from Michelin.

SO.... it looked good on the reviews and we decided to try it. Great service, great timing between courses. Great food and extremely tasty. They missed a trick by not offering or pairing any more wine with our courses and didn't offer us any more...than the glass of wine we consumed before our starters arrived. Overall, a great experience and the portions were exactly the right size, for the we ate. One big disappointment was that the food actually wasn't hot. It was warm. Shame. I read about the weird waiter and indeed there is a Basil Fawlty character, which tickled me ha ha. Would I go again?, yes, but I'd raise the issue of the food temperature. View menu

Restaurant Lucky Leek was quite disappointing. One would have thought that a Bib Gourmand was a guarantee for delicious food, all five courses in the menu, however, were a disappointment. None of the courses were refined, as the cook seemed to be in the habit...of using the complete kitchen stock in each of these. Indeed, the level of cooking did not surpass that of a student cafeteria. I have to admit that the German wines in the wine arrangement were excellent, and although each glass only came after I was almost done with a course, it helped getting the food down. And last but not least, a restaurant that does not accept credit cards under euros, should not ask guests for a deposit paymen...

The main course was a plate with too many flavours and too many types of structures: no line, no theme. A hodgepodge. We had cheeses for dessert, but vegan cheese' is not a good idea apparently. Another disappointment was water: we wanted tab water, as...Berlin water is of okay quality and clean. Wasn't possible: we had to order their bottled water euro Bit strange for a vegan restaurant that pretends to be socially responsible. Not able to pay with card when the bill is less than euros, why is that!? The food was quite pricey, by the way, so it's not that difficult to reach that euros: overpriced if you thunk that vegetables are -in general- a lot cheaper than meat or fish... Staff was okay...
