We had a fish and chips last night because the valley was closed so we went to Maggie's kitchen holywell the fish was disgusting because there was no fish in the batter be aware don't get fish I will never go there again water thin fish

Haven't had fish and chips that good in a while. Even survived the trip down the A55 to Ewloe. Absolutely lovely food!.piping hot fish, crispy batter and mushy peas that actually had peas in. I stopped by at 4:30 PM on a Wednesday, and everything was fresh! The chips were just finishing up when we placed our order. The ladies behind the counter were friendly and efficient. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were reasonable; we spent £16 for a small chips with bite-sized fish, haddock and chips, a steak pie and chips, a jumbo sausage, a large pot of gravy, and a small pot of spicy curry sauce. Service was for takeout.

We called in at 7:30 while driving through, having read the wonderful reviews on Google. We were both quite hungry, but as soon as we entered, the staff seemed very unfriendly and appeared displeased that we were there. We were informed that only chips were available since they were closing soon, even though they didn’t close until 8:30! The chips we received were not fresh and were quite oily, which resulted in an upset stomach for me all night! As for parking, there was no place to park, making it a challenging location to navigate. Overall, the service was limited to takeout. View menu
