"Visited this place a few times as it’s one of the restaurants in our village it’s really welcoming and the staff are fantastic. Food is great, menu could vary a bit more especially on Sundays as if you don’t fancy a roast the options seem to be limited to just a few other mains, but you have to appreciate the food is fresh which more than makes up for it. Desserts are always changing which is nice the biscoff cheesecake was definitely a winner! Really recommend a visit and the booth tables are really comfy and nice."

"Stayed at herons reach Holiday resort place a 75.00 order which was wrong ordered whole duck all the trimmings spicy box sweet and sour sauce, chips and gravy x 2 pork curry with boiled rice, special kung po Singapore fried rice. Lady on the phone even though I speak perfect English had to repeat the order 5 times and repeated all bacl to me. Order came 1 hr 40 mins later with no Singapore fried rice. When called got told I wasn't a priority I work as a delivery driver when I or the restaurant make a mistake it goes out straight away. Got told could be up to 2 hours. By a ride guy with a manc accent. Won't ever order again don't recommend ever!!!!!"

"Not busy when we arrived, only 2 tables of people already eating. We waited 45 mins, people who arrived after us where served before us, then our food came out, lady gave it to the wrong table at first, when it finally got to us, both orders where wrong, I made a comment that this is shocking, the lady said if I don't like it I can go somewhere else, so I agreed, the shockingly bad staff tryed to refuse us a refund, as the chef tryed to say the policy is, once order is made, there's no refund, I'd agree with that if I got what I ordered and not a wrong order.....anyway, when holywell locals say avoid that cafe and go to Billy jeans, next time il listen lol AVIOD THIS CAFE LIKE YOU WANT TO AVOID AIDS, ITS DREADFUL....it's not even worth 1 star, but I have to give at least on star to make this review.... Billy jeans was well nice and served to the table in around 10 minutes like a normal cafe"

"I had a little chicken cure with rice and a broken squid (order both, if I didn't like, I could at least have the others so I didn't go hungry). with the fish I never had food in my life that has absolutely no taste whatever. it was also quite greasy, but I didn't notice too much. I was more disappointed that it had 0% taste. the chicken cure with rice was also disappointing. it had about two chickens. the curry also had much too much fun in it, for example mushroom. it had more sweet than huh and it's a chicken curry! the sauce, however, was decent. I went back to maggie in 2018 or 2019. I ordered chips and they were not nice because they had no taste. I thought I would give maggies another chance years later, when maybe dinge changed, they didn't! very disappointing. water money! Previously a large chip shop. Please note that it says online that they are open on Monday, but they are not. I went on a Monday just to find out they won't open on Monday. I would suggest changing their opening hours online so customers have no wasted trip. not a star, because at least the service was fast and the staff at this day worked friendly. I hope the dinge improves in what was a fantastic chippy earlier."

"If I was rating on staff/service/friendliness I would give this place a 5 star review but the food was pretty awful and really only deserves 1 or 2 stars at best but I 'm trying to be kind as they seem like lovely people. We stopped at this pub because there was an A board outside saying Great food and we took it on face value so we really were expecting something at least good . We were very hungry after driving for quite some time, so we did eat the food but really didn 't enjoy it. If we hadn 't been so hungry the plates would have gone back full I 'm afraid. Gravy tasted like packet (instant) gravy, potatoes seemed like they 'd been reheated more than once really awful. Giving 3 stars is being kind but as I say the staff were lovely and the service great. If they take more care in what they produce in the kitchen, this place could be great."
