"We enjoyed another lovely early evening at Gusto 's having booked in for 3:30pm. By the time we were leaving the place was getting full, so probably best to book in advance as it is a popular restaurant in an excellent location on Newcastle 's Quayside. The menu had recently changed to add more dishes, which looked and smelled lovely as they wafted past us. A big well done to the chefs. I had the starter of King Prawn and pickled fennel. A fabulous start to my meal. My mains was the Pan fried fillet of Sea Bass. Beautifully presented and very tasty. I finished of with the Sticky Toffee pud, which is my favourite of all puds. We even had a lady (not a staff member and from a different table to the birthday boy) with an operatic sounding voice, singing happy birthday in a foreign language to a gentleman sitting near us. He was celebrating his 20th birthday. Boy what a voice she had. A lovely moment for all present. As always the staff and the General Manager (Lauren) are very helpful and attentive. We will be back soon, of that there is no doubt. Well done Gusto, you are a fabulous team."

The food is fine although getting a little expensive and I think the menu is probably too big. Service was slow so not really any good for a lunch in office hours. View menu

my husband reminded me that i did not put in on our review the extreme lack of cheese served on the cold pizzas. Also the service charge was a bit over the top. we would rather have given it to the waiter we had

We visited on Boxing Day with 12 family members. The service was first class however the food was disappointing. Gloopy ceaser salad, average pizzas, overpriced deserts. Not sure if it was a ‘Boxing Day off day’ but not one I would go back to.

Really lovely bottomless brunch, food was so nice, great portion sizes, drinks were good too. Staff were well dressed great service from everyone Seats could do with an upgrade as there was a lot of tears in them so made it look a little grubby but that was the only negative thing View menu

We regularly eat at gusto's and had another lovely meal. We thoroughly enjoyed our choice of scallop starter, seabass main and brulee pud. I also had a grasshopper cocktail to finish. It all was extremely delicious and we couldn't fault it. I require gluten free and never have any problems as they have a wide selection of GF options. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and really friendly. Another fab day out for us!

Four of us came to Gusto for a graduation lunch (with starters and mains) at 12:30 and we were finished by 13:19. The whole service felt very rushed, with our starters coming before our drinks. Mains came at lightening speed too, making us feel like we were at McDonalds at very different prices though. The restaurant was very cold so we ended up sitting with our coats on. The waiter was friendly and food was OK but overall experience was disappointing, especially considering it was a celebratory lunch.
