W went one Wednesday lunch time after receiving a friend's recommendation. The service is good, the food delicious but a little pricy. Three starters, three main courses and 4 soft drinks was £82.50. We recommend the food but study the price list.

We were staying in the area for the night and struggled to find a local restaurant which was dog friendly. We opted for takeaway pizzas instead and so glad we did best pizza we’ve had in a long time. I had an absolutely fantastic dining experience at this restaurant! The staff were attentive and friendly, and the food was heavenly. From the starters to the dessert, every bite was better than the last. We tried various options ranging from vegetarian dishes to meat options, and everything was a hit. We came for dinner on a Friday night, looking forward to trying somewhere new while we were visiting Banchory. When we arrived we were surprised at the size of the restaurant, it is small and looked more like a takeaway than somewhere for dinner. It was also very quiet with only one other table occupied. When ordering our food we asked if they could make us a plain tomato pasta as there was no dairy/meat free options. We were immediately told no and offered options containing cream and meat which we explained we couldn’t eat. I dined in the restaurant in December 2022 with some friends. I asked the waiter what I could order because I have a dairy allergy, he said I could order a pizza with vegan (dairy free) cheese on it, so this is what I ordered. The table then ordered some starters to share, so I asked if I could eat any of them that came out. The owner then said I could eat the garlic bread pizza, as it was olive oil spread that was used to make this. When I asked to see the packaging I saw this contained buttermilk, which I obviously could not have!
