"We read the reviews - which were all over the place - for food experience at Man Wah. But, because we wanted a change from wurst and french fries, we gave it a try. We opted for conventional. The won tons in the won ton soup were spectacular. The steamed shrimp/seafood dumplings were delicious. We ordered the fried pork dumplings but they gave us the baked ones. We decided to keep them. They were just fine. Then the two of us shared the chicken and vegetable dish in a simple sauce with white rice. It was a pleasure to have the vegetables! It tasted as it should and we were quite satisfied. Other observations: decor simple and clean. Many Asians eating there (a sign it is good?). They brought us a waiter who spoke very good English. Everyone was pleasant and service was quick. Didn't bother to take photos but wanted to add our observations to the many already offered."

Everytime we come to Hamburg, we have to eat at Man Wah. The scallop for appetizer is to die for. Squid with salt and pepper is really good, the crispy duck.. ????????????????????????

How can you mess up a wanton soup..? Completely tasteless. Never had that before. Very limited choice on dimsum.. maybe we are spoiled in Amsterdam. Best was the fried rice with shrimps and meet

Very popular and ofter so crowded that they sometimes seat you with someoneelse at the table. Food is good, portions huge and the restaurant very casual, good location for a visit of the Reeperbahn afterwards.

Go with the Chinese. The restaurant boasts of the large quatity of expats from Asia dining there. Beside the mildly europeanized, but still tasty standard dishes try one of their cantonese or chinese-malay specialties. Ask the boss for his daily recommendation. Low to average price level. One of the rare spots in Hamburg to dine at 2am in the morning. This is the spot where chefs from acclaimed Hamburg restaurants go on their day-off. Totally worth it.

This place has great reviews but I fail to see why. I had the Char Siew and Siew Yok with rice. It was bad - the meat was chewy and not in a good way. The pork belly was burnt and in enormous pieces with way too much fat. At least the rice was tastyTasted a couple of the Dim Dum dishes - bland and oily... The best thing was the Kai Lan in garlic sauce and Chinese tea which says something about the food.A real shame as I was looking forward to some good Chinese food based on the reviews.
