"Went to dinner with my son. Restaurant atmosphere was very nice. We had a table by the window overlooking the river. We started with the appetizer sampler. Everything was very nice. The salad bar looked excellent, but I wanted to try the beef stew. It was fantastic. We both had filets prepared medium rare. Both steaks were prepared perfectly. My son had the steak fries as a side, and I had the mushroom risotto. Both sides were very good. As we were stuffed, we had to pass on dessert. However, I had coffee. It was a very satisfying end to a great meal. The service was excellent. I read the reviews prior to deciding where to dine. I noted that the restaurant appeared to take the critiques seriously. I found that they took the time to ensure that our meal was up to our expectations. All I can tell you is that our exerience was excellent."

If you are looking for a great steak with many options of side dishes that's the place! Besides they have a very nice salad buffet that is hard to find in Salzburg

I went here on recent visit to Salzburg and the steak was excellently cooked, side were complementary to the meal. Prices were on the more expensive side but still OK by Salzburg standard. Also has an excellent English Menu for tourists.

Schnitzel was good and so was risotto. A meat platter was... Well let's just say that we spent last 5+ years in Texas. So, yes, my husband was a bit disappointed. And we had a mix up with the kids order. It was the first meal on our trip that we were kind of disapointed with.

We had a very good meal at this steakhouse; we got a table at a window with a very nice view. Both my tartar meat and my wife's stake were delicious, service as in most places in Austria was slow but courteous and professional and the prices wer very reasonable.I would certainly go back. View menu

Honestly, how much heavy Austrian food can you take? We wanted a break so stopped in here...it's right on the main drag...large restaurant with plenty of room to spread out. Service was at American speed...the way I like it...food was good...steak was good (not steakhouse good...but got the job done). Prices reasonable.

For a restaurant that labels itself to be a steakhouse its steak have to be better than what we had.Maredo is at the old town side of the river of salzburg. The ambience is subdued by the old looking decor and basic interior design. The steaks were chewy, dry and hard. The fries were not tasty. The service was ordinary with no effort for customer satisfaction.A sure pass the next time we are in Salzburg

We enjoyed a lovely meal here. We had a table sitting by the window overlooking the window which was really nice. we had chicken wings to start which were very tasty followed by a steak for my husband and a steak skewar for me. It was delicious, perfectly cooked. The waiting staff were very helpful and friendly and certainly looked after us during our visit. I would go here again when hopefully we go back to Salzburg one day. View menu

My wife and I visited this restaurant for an early evening meal. The waitresses was fantastic and very helpful. The place was clean and had a good menu, although this is essentially a steak restaurant. We both had the rib eye and were both pleased. My wife had the salad bowl as a side plate, whilst I went for the boiled vegetables option . We were both pleased with our choices. Both stakes were cooked as we had asked (rare and medium). We had a dessert each and a couple of drinks and the bill came to 80 Euro. I was pleased with that, if needed we could have eaten a fair bit cheaper.

In family to visit the city of Salzburg, we waited the off-peak time to find a restaurant around 1:30PM. There are many in the center and we chose this one due to the cheap burger and the kids menu. Food was good, but service was extremely long. We had to wait more than 30 minutes to deliver the basic burger, and for the kids burger it was even longer, I had the time to finish my own food before the kids burger arrived. Of course we asked for the bill just after, no desert, no coffee, we did not want to wait another half hour for a simple order. My advice: too many customers for this restaurant, keep away.
