"if you want to eat authentic delicious Italian cuisine, then this is the perfect place marenghi’s restaurant is one of these hidden gems in newport and once they have discovered it and eating it they tasted sure they return. I and my family have booked a buffet for 12 of us on a Saturday night. they are just a small restaurant, which is housed for about 40 people and in which usually does not remain open in the evening, if they book nothing else, so we had the whole place for ourselves! it was like we had our own private kitchen and mario and his staff made us feel very welcome and comfortable! I come from an Italian family and we were all with eating authentic Italian foods, so it is always difficult to search Italian restaurants that we actually rate very for its authenticity. nothing beats Italian home kitchen! but merenghis Italian coffee shop was the first time we were all super impressed. it was like eating in a small family-run restaurant in Italy. he served dishes that they do not even see in other Italian restaurants. not unusual as they expect in the rule of Italian restaurants in this country, but authentic, super tasty and true for the southern style of Italian cuisine! they must try this place if they have a passion for Italian food."

my opinion after the best coffee in newport. beautiful caffe authentic feeling, surrounded by any kind of pasta in existence. Eating is also very good, giving them time as it is all freshly prepared. but while waiting, they can have an excellent Italian beer. family business.

went for a meal with my wife, as we had a gift voucher, never been there, but what a surprise, the setting an Italian atmosphere and eating was great, the taste, the fresh and beautiful and light! we had a few bottles of wine that complicated eating. desert was really nice, I had the Rhubarb cheesecake, very light! we had a conversation with the owner / the cheef after and it was obviously the passion he had for cooking and was very welcoming. can't wait to go again!
