"The surroundings aren't great but there are rumours of development coming, but don't let that stop you if you like tasty food. We went there at around 7 on a Friday and no one was there. By 8 pm the place was full !! What great food. So tasty. We went back and it was the same. I've not been to a restaurant before where the food has been prepared with such love love of food. Usually a jalfrezi is just a plain old sauce with whole chillis thrown in. Not here, you could hardly see chillis, but the taste told you they were in there. Excellent. My only tiny issue is that the waiters don't speak good English as they couldn't understand some of our questions. But go, eat and love the flavours! Parking: Park behind Sainsburys. Easy access from there. Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp up from carr park if street parking is not available next to the bus stop."

Amazing service and delicious food! Having just moved to the area we tried Mehdi as our new local Indian restaurant. The warm welcome we received was lovely, the staff were so accommodating as we enjoyed a drink whilst we waited for our take away.
