"the restaurant (and hotel) is located in a historic house on the market place. the beer garden at the market place allows a magnificent view of the rat house, the houses on the opposite side of the market place and the Frauenkirche. they serve local beer from the “oldest private brewery” meissner harder, which is brewed in a suburb of miśni. concerning eating, it was not the best: the ribs were quite dry and the flesh did not dissolve completely from the bone; the one-pot was not just a one-pot, but only roasted pork (but quite good). the intention is to compensate for these unequalities. interior design in style of a German pub, service in braid (the waiter had even leather pants) a positive impression overall."

No cozy ambience to stay. Most people went immediately after meal. The staff was efficient, but completely indifferent to the customers. Eating okay, but nothing special. View menu

You can walk away hungry from this restaurant. Despite the fact that the door is open and the menu is placed on tables, the restaurant has some inexplicable and esoteric rules regarding the operation of its kitchen. We sat down, ordered drink, just to learn...20 min later that the kitchen only serves snacks. Very helpful if you have a tight schedule. Instead of apologising, the staff accused us of a good GDR tradition.

The food was saturated with poor quality oil. If you lift the crumbrd schnitzel the oil drips out and the poorly prepared and presented salid was saturated with cheap oil also. To add insult to injury after being unable to eat it both my wife and I we paid full price despite offer of free coffee just to get out of there. It took sevetal hours to clense my pallet and then that night I woke about 2.00 am and had the taste and smell of the cheap oil in my senses. Disgusting.

I wouldn't go back to dinner, even though that was delicious. in direct comparison to the brewhouse in pirna, where we were yesterday, a catastrophe. the carving with pommes ok, here you can also make nix wrong, the penne with pesto were as before from the student kitchen fresh from the glass, biergulasch and haxe from the microwave and not quite warm. that has to do with cooking nix. ambiente and personal were also not what I expect. think there will be better local before location. meißen is a particularly exciting city! it opens up to the elbe and is known worldwide for the production of porcellan objects! we are on the marketplace and this place seems best suited for a stop in contrast to others, and that was: simple and effective eating ... excellent beer and sprinkling with much butter (but not forget the local white wine (riesling)!) sitting outside at a ventilator that is waiting from all sides tobombs and ceramic bells that sound in every quarter, half an hour!

A great offer for a carving with a beer so decided to eat dinner here. Our food was good and they had a great variety or beer that we got was very delicious. The waiters were very friendly and did not change to English when they noticed that we tried and wanted to communicate in German, which was great in our opinion. They also stopped to ask if the food was good and wished us a nice evening while leaving. What we have paid was a good value for money and if you are looking for a good service with a smile in Meissen, you should stop here.
