"Great place to go if you’re looking for a tasty yet healthy lunch. They provide sit in or take out service. If you sit in they have a range of benches or high stools for you to get comfy on. Everything at Milk is freshly made and their home baking always looks delicious! A couple of my favourite lunch time items are the Chicken Thai Sandwich and Pulled Pork Wrap. The sandwich has a lovely peanut sauce on it and is very yummy, just be warned it can be a tad messy if eating on the go as they are very generous with their fillings. The wrap comes hot which is perfect is you are trying to heat up and it comes with slaw. Again, not the tidiest food to eat. Another plus is that they change...read more"

beautiful caffe for coffee and cake! the menu has a large selection of vegetarian and vegan options- bit cramped to sit inside, so avoid the lunch break, or plan to take out.

nice little place. very friendly staff. small sitting corner. good coffee, latte, cappuccinos with several plant milk options. only saw a vegan baked good option. had no food

Sweet little place with a laid-back retro feel (cutlery is kept in old syrup tins on the tables) and reasonable prices. The coffee and home-made drinks are really nice, but go for breakfast and have the amazing chorizo burrito with comte cheese and scrambled eggs.

a nice little caffe. it was close to where we were when we visited, so this was our place to breakfast. Different vegan and vegetarian options on the menu clearly marked. very good coffee. we also took sandwiches to lunch. the owner is very friendly and helpful, he gave us suggestions where to visit during our stay!

it is a really limited menu to choose with just the vegan breakfast (some veggie options), which are good and different to their usual vegan breakfast that tend to replicate meat based. had a vegan hot chocolate and tumeric latte. there were sandwiches and cakes, could have been one or two vegan options there. the personal is friendly and the interieur is beautifully updated by previous review on 2021-09-17

this caffe was over the street from our hotel so it is extremely comfortable. an early morning visit for a takeaway americano and sojatee helped to breathe some needed warmth into our vegan bodies on a cold day, as we made our way into the city a fantastic black rabbit. great coffee and tee by the way. However, it will truffle the deliciously salted erdnus and dark chocolate that I ate that I remember most. yum yum.

the coffee was the best I had in one when we both had an americano. not oversized, but well made with a beautiful taste. we also had the chorizo packaging and vegetarian packaging. these were a really nice change from the normal breakfasts they get on most menus. they really thought about the aromen in these packs with comet cheese that make them beautiful and gooey. I wouldn't change anything. the staff was very friendly and I recommend milk.

"new kapitel has caught my attention after I was on top ten on trip advisor only months after the opening in the oktober last year. that and the fact that it is open for my early january birthday, made it the perfect place to celebrate to become a little older. I was with the man and his family. the man is quite used to my taste and good to the kind of kitchen that would appeal to me for a special occasion; his family not so much and I was filled with shame as his mother scornful went through the menu trying to find something she would enjoy. I've eaten with the family of the man, and I know they enjoy eating, so I think it's a failure of the menu that it is not accessible. the benming always blooming and garnish can appeal to some, but for others it is overcomplicated and it is necessary to find a balance between the two. we start with the starters and I go for venison sour wort pithvier. the venison was underheated and incredibly dry, to the happiness the sourded a little moisturizing and so saved the whole dish, but the aromen were quite not clear, except the garnitur of plastered mushrooms I thoroughly enjoyed. for the largest part we chose a fish dish for our main,- sea trout, smoked muddles, petersilien and coast herbs. where the starter fell, the main recording is getting back. the dish is rich and creamy, and each element adds the complexity of the taste as a whole, without disturbing. the concept is now an old one, and it would be deceptive if it had not worked, as it would essentially pay with this place. I enjoyed my meal in new chapter, although I do not agree with it is stellar status under the hierarchy of edinburgh eateries. it is top ten position is just a flash in the pan of hot popularity, and in time it will be plated in the upper half of the middle stage where it belongs. and that is where it belongs, the dishes can be plated with a michelin star in understood, and the venue and the supporting media has the clean lines and empty slate look of fine but eat the team has a long gone to go if that is their real aim. at the end, although it was a beautiful meal, and cheap (at the moment I would not be surprised to see their prices slowly rise) and the man’s mother found something they enjoyed and that is the most important."
