"Very small inside tiny little plastic chairs barely suitable for more than children, no halloumi no quiche left no milkshakes left! As we balance on our tiny plastic chairs and waited a huge wolfhound dog walked in and stood right by us staring at us for quite sometime had a good shake and left. The coleslaw was lovely everything else was basic the cake was dry as a bone. Overpriced for lunch. Unbeknown to us we all were bitten by bugs all over our legs huge red itchy lumps appeared and bothered us for days can only assume horse flies. Disappointing uncomfortable and overpriced."

Came here to be greeted by an arrogant owner and very rude, unhappy and unprofessional staff. Would not recommend at all. Definitely the worst service I’ve ever seen

We had a wonderful afternoon tea here today could not eat it all so the very polite staff who looked after us bagged up the cake for us.Well worth a visit we are going again next month.

We had a wonderful experience at this charming coffee shop located in a rustic barn. The staff was friendly and the variety of cakes was impressive. Although we only had coffee and soup, everything was delicious.

We were treated to a deluxe afternoon tea as a Christmas present cannot recommend highly enough everything was really fresh and tasty. Staff were very friendly and even gave us boxes to take away all of the goodies that we couldn't find room for on the day! View menu

Popped in as was passing and had heard about this place. Unfortunately I won’t go again the cake was not good it was so dry I couldn’t eat it. We sat outside and the garden bench was old and ripped my new trousers as it’s in a poor state. Overall not a good experience!!

This charming café has a wonderful atmosphere and a beautiful setting. We visited for afternoon tea and Deb and Karen made the experience flawless. They were a lovely pair who made sure everything was perfect. They were very accommodating and the food was fresh and delicious. We will definitely be returning. Thank you, ladies!

What a fantastic cafe. Saw several good reviews online so decided to stop here on our way to a lodge holiday instead of a pub stop. So pleased we did. Easy to park. The service was excellent and the food was so yummy. A full plate of sandwiches with salad crisps and coleslaw and a lovely cup of coffee. We also gave into temptation with the fantastic cakes on offer. View menu

I went today for an afternoon tea with my partner . It was excellent with plenty of sandwiches , cheese scone crisps and pickles . Then a scone with clotted cream , chocolate brownie and a sponge . We asked for a box to take some away as we couldn’t manage it all . The staff are very welcoming, polite and give you a 5* service . The coffee shop is set in a beautiful location . I would highly recommend a visit .

2nd visit here while out riding and provides the perfect bike stop. Great service, food and drink came out quickly considering they where pretty busy. Great selection of sandwiches wraps jacket potatoes. Also plenty of cake and savoury snacks to choose from to. My only hang up was the bread for my sandwich was a little stale. Won’t stop me coming back as I’m sure it was a one off. However does stop me giving it a 5 star review. I will be back though!

"I visited my daughter and son-in-law last week and on my request they had booked a table for us on black horse on Saturday night at 1 o'clock. we arrived shortly before the pm and all four of us stood in the bar where two were served. it wasn't busy. no one told us anything until the bar was clear and then one of the ladies looked at me and I said we booked a table in my name of my daughter and she saw the bookings and said oh yes, we had table assigned and pointed into another room. there was no greeting no smiling, so we met our way to the table and sat there. there were no menus on the table, so I stood up to find some and someone only made their way from the other room in the direction of our table. we ordered drinks that were in themselves a task, as they had no free or dietary limmonade, so I had to go to the end for a gin with slimline tonic. then we ordered four different meal times. I ordered a vegetarian curry in naanbrot and when it finally came, I was so disappointed because the naanbrot was burned and the curry was cold on the outside, so I asked them to take it back. the waitress asked if I wanted to order something else and I went back. my daughter then shared some of her meals with me, who were chicken pupils. they were coated in a teig that was extremely fat. the menu does not seem to come out of any meal with fresh vegetables, everything seemed to come with chips and draughts, even the Steak-Mahl came only with chips and draughts, no mushrooms, tomatoes, wobble rings or something. I wasn't impressed. for a pub that wants good reviews, I think they have lost the property. the customer service is everything and fresh vegetables is essential. I'm sorry to be the bearer worse, but we won't come back."
