"Having lived and worked between Italy and England since the 1980s we’ve always missed that marvellous Italian institution, the local ‘ristorante pizzeria’ Boboli have hit the bullseye. Relaxed atmosphere, great service, straightforward menu, quality ingredients, very good Italian wine, and of course, these folks can cook!! "I felt it was very expensive and overpriced for the quality of the food. Service was good but I felt I was in the middle off a staff training day. "Tired and hungry, five of us went to the Queens Head for a late Sunday lunch. The atmosphere, service, and food quality were all fantastic. We started with drinks from the bar, followed by a variety of appetizers and delicious roast dinners with a generous assortment of vegetables, huge Yorkshire puddings, and thick, tasty gravy. We finished off with some shared desserts. The prices were very reasonable, so you don't have to break the bank to enjoy a satisfying meal with a few drinks. I would definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area and craving hearty, home-cooked style food."

"Not sure what all the fuss is about, we were left distinctively underwhelmed. It is clearly a regulars venue and they are all greeted warmly on arrival, however we as newbeeies not so much. The man who I guess was the restaurant manager, was devoid of personality and appeared to make a point of not interacting with us, even though the restaurant was empty. 2 courses were served in less than 30 minutes totally unnecessary and to me a clear indication we were not welcome. What a missed opportunity to get to know some new potential customers by making them feel special. Would not recommend."

"The restaurant was unexpectedly busy at 6:30pm on a cold Tuesday night in November. Upon entering, we felt transported to Bangkok with the decor and atmosphere. The service was very attentive and there was a great selection of vegetarian options available. I especially enjoyed the unique decor, including the large golden boat, and the food was delicious. It is worth noting that vegetarian options are available for all dishes, with choices of tofu or vegetables. Overall, a great dining experience."

"Just had Sunday lunch here for the fourth time (in two years) We had the same menu items as on previous visits, too. It's nice (to us anyway) to find the menu's the same, and that the quality's just the same, with the same guy producing the food. Consistency's a nice quality in itself. Our grandson had turkey, we had a vegetarian Brie tart. The accompanying vegetables arrived well cooked without being overcooked, and not overly seasoned/salted. My grandson asked for apple sauce with his turkey, and it was provided without fuss or raised eyebrows... What more can you ask for from waiting staff? Highly recommended. Drive carefully in the car park... A mallard drake and his two lady friends were relaxing in the sunshine, look out for them... Part of the character of the place..."

"We have dined at The Lighthouse several times and have always enjoyed our meals, but this time was a bit disappointing. While the food was well-cooked and nicely presented, I felt that the portion sizes didn't justify the prices. For example, the £8 prawn cocktail came with only 3 king prawns and a small amount of lettuce and sauce, without even any bread. My Bavette steak with blue cheese sauce and fries was tasty but at £22.50, I didn't feel it was worth the cost compared to other similar restaurants. I skipped dessert and opted for coffee/hot chocolate with Nutella or biscotti and cream, which was delicious and highly recommended. While some of the other diners enjoyed their meals, they also found some aspects lacking. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was pleasant. Overall, I may consider returning to The Lighthouse in the future, but there are other restaurants that offer similar quality food at better value."

"Went here the weekend of April 24th and strangely someone else on here is reporting having sickness a month ago from this restaurant. I did feel sick and nauseated after eating here. The food lacked taste considering it’s Asian fusion and the some of it was really greasy mainly the crunchy seaweed. I did think the food could be better. The southern friend chicken in the bao bun tasted good but you got a massive piece of chicken and just sriracha sauce, which is pretty basic for an Asian tapas place, I would expected an explosion of taste. Everyone in Market Narborough has raved on this place but I have to say I was not a fan."

"Whilst the pub and scenery itself is beautiful and the staff were friendly, we were disappointed with the food from the outset. The menu on the Internet and the menu we were actually provided in the pub were very different. We were not told about the specials boards which had choices we would have ordered from the outset. I ordered the pie of the week, which was cottage pie. However when it arrived it was basically a bowl of potato with barely any mince in it. I have never complained about a meal before, or sent food back but I was so shocked at the lack of filling that I was not prepared to pay for it. This said I was offered another meal off the menu when this was brought to the staffs attention, offered complimentary drinks and they re-cooked my husbands meal so that we could eat together. My second meal was much better and was really enjoyable. Its just a shame that our initial experience over shadowed the remainder of the evening."

"Stumbled on this place as our regular Kibworth away day breakfast venue was closed due to the staff being on holiday (venue located in Bowden). What a great find this was, didn’t even know it existed until Saturday. Can safely say that this will be our new destination when visiting the Kibworth area. Great menu, great tasting food, plenty of it, great staff, nice place and a decent price. Luckily Kibworth second team are in the division below so we should be venturing here next year one way or another Definitely give this place a try if you haven’t already, I’m sure you won’t regret it. "I recently ordered a lamb tikka biryani for takeaway, which came with curry sauce and a side garnish of salad. The service was excellent and the collection time was just right. The dish was delicious, with the lamb cooked perfectly and a good balance of meat, rice, and sauce. It wasn't too spicy, which I prefer. "Visited for Sunday Lunch Service as a small group of friends Wow!! Venue: Ample parking, located near Lutterworth near easy to access. A beautiful restaurant with warm cozy Christmas decor Staff: So friendly and attentive! Not ever received service this perfect nor...as enjoyable The gentleman making the drinks at the bar was superb and so flexible, we were not keen to drink alcohol for lunch so he kindly adjusted the menus for cocktail into mocktails! Highly recommend all the creations, in particular the passionfruit and pineapple mocktail! Thank you so much! Each dish came with a brief introduction and Chef Alexander even personally came to the table at the end of the meal to discuss the dishes! Food: Beyond words- it is amazing! This place truly deserves Michelin Star status the menu consisted of the Romanian bread with truffle butter, the salmon roulade, the turkey (I only picked turkey as a homage to Christmas and usually have extremely low expectations as it is difficult to cook as it is often dry this dish was so tender and flavour some its mind blowing. Highly recommend! The dessert was pear pastry with coffee /tea- The whole experience was perfect (I hardly ever use that word I would highly recommend this establishment and would have no hesitation in returning in fact we plan to when it reopens in Jan for their Spring Menu Wishing the establishment and all its staff a very Merry Xmas and Happy New Year!"

"I can't stress enough how incredible this place is. We reserved one of the pods and it was lovely, cozy, and warm. I appreciate the wireless speakers that you can connect to your phone to play your own music. The staff, especially the lady with short black hair, were outstanding. They were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure a great experience. The food was exquisite, beautifully presented, and possibly the best I've ever had. I highly recommend trying the beetroot and gin gravalax, it was absolutely delicious. I will definitely return and encourage everyone to visit, you won't be disappointed."

"Normally visit here once or twice a month until 2 weeks ago kinda spoilt it for us where my partner had a long black hair in his food, I went to bar had to wait abit as no bar staff out the front when I managed to catch one of their attention he came over took the food away to replace it offered to put mine under the lamp to keep it warm but I didn't want my steak to dry out which he agreed couldn't be guaranteed waited a while for my partners fresh food to be brought out by which point mine was stone cold. My partner had a fresh steak but definitely didn't look or taste like a rump steak it was so thin, and tasted horrible (yes i tried it) which is such a shame as it has put us off. Did tell the staff member it was horrible an he just said he would mention it to the kitchen."

"We've eaten at several Indian restaurants in Market Harborough, the experience at Shagorika was by far the best. Both of us had chicken dishes, which were tender, tasty and perfectly spiced. Service from Munir and his team was exemplary. After such a great meal, we were pleased that such exceptional quality came at a very reasonable price. "I was searching for a venue to host a wake after my mother's funeral that was different from the traditional Indian meal typically served on such occasions. Luigi and his head chef at The Italian Greyhound restaurant created a fantastic vegetarian wake menu that I believe my late mother would have enjoyed. The service provided by Luigi and his team was excellent, the main courses were served hot, and the tiramisu was delicious. Every guest, as well as my immediate family, thoroughly enjoyed the meal. I am grateful to have found this restaurant and believe that many others from Asian backgrounds may also choose this type of wake service in the future. I cannot thank Luigi and his team enough for their beautiful spread and service with a smile."

"we chose this facility because it was light and airy. our order for coffee was taken immediately. we sat down on the fact that it was actually a bit tired and grubby. my man and I chose both a "crack of waffel" for a late breakfast...treat that was a bad choice. this court consisted of four tiny business bought ‘Waffeln’ with a scatter of obstinately arranged under a buck of smooth cream with the merest excavator of maple syrup. I have planned freshly made waffles and didn't think to question this. that waited me to think that our breakfast was cooked rather than assembled. I told the manager that I expected from homemade waffeln, but there was no answer."
