"I found this place as I was looking on line for Far East style food not too far from my town and the menu of Taste Social seemed very appealing; 'steamed buns ' can 't be found that easily and I decided to give it a try. This is in no way a traditional Chinese style restaurant, it is modern, clean and it is located near to Market Harborough town center. The food was absolutely delicious! A shame the place is not in Kettering, if it were, it 'd be my go to take away place at least once a week. I look forward to go again before the end of March. The pulled pork steamed buns were ever so soft and tasty, the vegetarian starters with fried rice and those with shitaki mushroom...delicious! And the desserts very original and scrumptious. A small menu of perhaps 25 items but well worth trying!"

Before we had been seated or greeted we were told that the table was needed by 7:30. Thought food was mediocre and could have been more authentic. Overall it was an OK experience, but feel their could be quite a few improvements to the restaurant, service and food.

Fantastic restaurant serving a great selection of tapas with a Chinese influence! Love coming back here time and again, always find something new to try! Great drinks and amazing staff who are friendly, polite and attentive! Great for date nights, special occasions and get togethers!

Been to Taste Social three times now and it is a great restaurant to eat and drink at. They serve Asian fusion food in Tapas form and everything we've tried has been delicious, cooked to perfection and unique. The cocktails are delectable and they even made one not on the menu for us. Service is great and the ambience lovely. Very well decorated too. View menu

I love this place, best way to describe it is Tapas but modern Chinese Cuisine Style! I've visited many times, most recently last Friday. Four of us ate before going to see a gig, we had drinks, great wine and mocktails, and three rounds of four dishes. The service was fast and friendly, the atmosphere cool and funky, and all very reasonable as well. So to conclude we had eight drinks and twelve dishes all for just £110! (no service charge but I of course gave one) Absolute bargain, highly recommend can't wait for our next visit.

Went here the weekend of April 24th and strangely someone else on here is reporting having sickness a month ago from this restaurant. I did feel sick and nauseated after eating here. The food lacked taste considering it’s Asian fusion and the some of it was really greasy mainly the crunchy seaweed. I did think the food could be better. The southern friend chicken in the bao bun tasted good but you got a massive piece of chicken and just sriracha sauce, which is pretty basic for an Asian tapas place, I would expected an explosion of taste. Everyone in Market Narborough has raved on this place but I have to say I was not a fan.

"I visited my daughter and son-in-law last week and on my request they had booked a table for us on black horse on Saturday night at 1 o'clock. we arrived shortly before the pm and all four of us stood in the bar where two were served. it wasn't busy. no one told us anything until the bar was clear and then one of the ladies looked at me and I said we booked a table in my name of my daughter and she saw the bookings and said oh yes, we had table assigned and pointed into another room. there was no greeting no smiling, so we met our way to the table and sat there. there were no menus on the table, so I stood up to find some and someone only made their way from the other room in the direction of our table. we ordered drinks that were in themselves a task, as they had no free or dietary limmonade, so I had to go to the end for a gin with slimline tonic. then we ordered four different meal times. I ordered a vegetarian curry in naanbrot and when it finally came, I was so disappointed because the naanbrot was burned and the curry was cold on the outside, so I asked them to take it back. the waitress asked if I wanted to order something else and I went back. my daughter then shared some of her meals with me, who were chicken pupils. they were coated in a teig that was extremely fat. the menu does not seem to come out of any meal with fresh vegetables, everything seemed to come with chips and draughts, even the Steak-Mahl came only with chips and draughts, no mushrooms, tomatoes, wobble rings or something. I wasn't impressed. for a pub that wants good reviews, I think they have lost the property. the customer service is everything and fresh vegetables is essential. I'm sorry to be the bearer worse, but we won't come back."
