"Stumbled upon this lovely shop and was extremely impressed by the extensive collection of dairy-free chocolates (all labeled). In addition, they have a selection of vegan cakes and ice cream (and alcoholic shakes that can be made with soy ice cream as well as hot drinks that can be made with coconut, almond or soya milk. Staff is really nice and helpful. Treats were delicious non-dairy chocolates are best I've ever had surprised shop was not on Happy Cow already. Gluten-free options available as well. Had a gorgeous hazelnut hot chocolate and a bagel here. Staff were really friendly, the cafe was dog friendly and I took home a massive slice of vegan chocolate cake for later! Yum!

The vegan hot chocolate with non-dairy whipped cream was delicious! The staff were friendly and very knowledgeable about vegan options. They even had a variety of vegan chocolates and truffles with clearly labeled ingredients. View menu

Nipped in for a take away treat. They'd just sold out of vegan ice cream but as it was a bit of a cool afternoon I treated myself to a Belgian dark chocolate hot chocolate. They even gave me a free vegan truffle! Chocolates looked delicious and the truffle I tried was amazing.

This lovely little chocolate shop cafe is a gem! They clearly label all allergens on their chocolate and cafe menu, and offer a variety of plant-based milks at no extra charge. The staff is friendly and well-informed about vegan options. The vegan mocha was absolutely delicious, and their falafel-based sandwiches and salads were also fantastic. This café and chocolate shop has a few vegan options, but not a wide variety. They are happy to provide information on ingredients if needed. I tried the falafel and hummus sandwich, which was delicious. They offer four types of dairy-free milk. The hot drinks come with a little chocolate, and they automatically brought out dairy-free options and informed us of this, which was a nice gesture. View menu

I went to a chocolate shop and café that had limited vegan options, but they were willing to accommodate and provide information on ingredients. I tried the falafel and hummus sandwich, which was delicious. They offered four varieties of dairy-free milk. When I ordered a hot drink with chocolate, they automatically provided it with dairy-free milk, which I thought was a nice touch. Overall, I was impressed with their customer service and attention to detail. This review was last updated on June 1, 2022.

"We had booked with booking.com . On arrival we were told that we didn't get breakfast included and that it would be £15 a head. We accepted this although thought was pretty steep for breakfast in a pub.The first morning we were given a menu clearly stating that breakfasts were included with all accommodation. I ordered poached eggs with smoked salmon and the other two ordered a full English breakfast which included homemade black pudding. The breakfasts arrived ,one of my poached eggs was runny, the other hard. The English breakfasts had no black pudding on the plates and when queried we were told that the deliveries hadn't arrived. Doesn't homemade imply made on or near the premises and as the owner states he is a butcher by trade I would expect he had made the black pudding. No alternatives were offered and presentation was distinctly lacking , with the baked beans poured over the other items. The next day I risked the full breakfast with black pudding which was lovely. But again the others had badly cooked poached eggs. We were offered no fruit juice, cereal or even toast and marmalade. On leaving we discovered the pub was unmanned , despite poor mobile signal. The owner turned up after 15 minutes. The bill was handed over, charging us for seven breakfasts when we had six, it was adjusted after he asked if one of us had had two breakfast one day? He served and cooked them so should know the answer to that. We were also then overcharged for nine coffee when three coffees and two teas had been ordered. Having had a family B and small hotel in York I advised him that standards were not what I was used to. I spoke to someone who had also visited recently and she stated a member of staff had charged them £15 per head for their similar breakfast where we were charged the menu price. Exceptionally poor menu, inaccurate advise saying breakfast included then charging us and probably the worst breakfast I have eaten in similar accommodation."
