The staff at this restaurant is fantastic and friendly, and their fish and chips are amazing. I come here regularly because it is the only place in Neath that serves such great fish and chips.

Never eaten a kebab before this shop changed ownership everything looks really nice and it is spotlessly clean I’ve only had a couple of different meals so far and all very well made deserves 5star

Didi and her partner are the new management at the model chip shop. They are very welcoming and the fish is outstanding value and the flavour is awesome. The chips are beautiful. We love a chippy tea from here. We have told all our friends and family. View menu

We call here on regular occasions while travelling back to West Wales from the Cynon Valley. Food here is totally unmatched in this area, the staff are friendly and the premises pristine. The only issue is trying to decide what to have, on this occasion we had cod, haddock and small chips each and again it didn't disappoint. Highly recommended so give it a try.

They have something I,ve never seen before Curried Chicken pies Wow! It was good,I had Chips with it (French Fries to everyone outside the UK) Ha!Ha!Ha! It,s under new management,so it will take them a little while to establish a clientele ,it,s take out only! but I still think they will do well,too bad they,re over 7000 kms away from me,otherwise I,d order a take-out myself

This choppy is the best in the uk . I have had fish chips dinner kabab chicken kabab mixed kabab southern fried chicken chips and never been disappointed and as I work all over the. U.K. I have visited to many to count fish chip shops so I think I'm qualified to say in my opinion it's the best in the uk so give this chippy a try you won't be disappointed . I have visited Neath a few times for work, and on this particular occasion, I decided to get my dinner from the Model Fish Bar. The fish shop was clean and the staff were friendly. They had a wide selection on the menu including burgers, wraps, kebabs, pies, pasties, as well as fish and chips. I opted for a small battered sausage with chips. The service was quick and the food was delicious. I enjoyed my meal at the nearby Victoria Park, which was lovely and tranquil.

Hidden gem during lockdown. Despite never considering Model Fish bar for takeout before, we were pleasantly surprised by a neighbor's recommendation. Having tried fish and chips from various places in the area, we usually favored the top two in Melin. However, Model Fish bar has now stolen the spotlight with its remarkably fresh and flavorful fish. The batter stays crunchy and delicious even after delivery, unlike others that tend to become soggy. With real chips and a diverse menu, I highly recommend Model Fish bar in Neath. Bon appétit!

Haven't actually been there but used the online delivery service, I'd heard about it and since nobody delivers fish chips in the area decided to try it. The online menu is more comprehensive than the average chippy but as we like to judge a chip shop by the quality of the fish, we ordered small fish which was very reasonably priced, and chips. We had a discount for ordering online and only charged one pound delivery. The food arrived piping hot and well packed. The fish could have been mistaken for large portions as could the chips. Both fish and chips were excellent we look forward to using this great service again soon. View menu
