"Mr Petit is a wonderful place to sample a variety of delicious dishes from various cuisines. The portion sizes are on the smaller side, so it's best to order a few dishes to share at the table. Although we found it to be a bit pricey, we thoroughly enjoyed everything we tried. Our meal included warm sourdough bread with whipped butter, a mix of black and green olives, pork and chicken crackling, a carnivore and cheese board, sweet sticky ribs with slaw, lamb brik, king prawns, kedgeree arancini, Mac and cheese, and sambousek cheese. With a bottle of wine, our total bill came to around £90. Overall, the food was delicious, the service was excellent, and we would definitely recommend dining here."

Lovely place for lunch. Nice choice and variety. Pizzas are lovely on a fab thin crust base. Very nice sandwich with loads of filling. Burgers looked lovely. Waitress was lovely. Reccomend here for food and drinks. Reasonable prices.

I have been here a few times now and the food has been lovely every time (I've tried tapas, moussaka and a toasted tuna melt ciabatta). Clearly home made with fresh ingredients. Really friendly staff. This is a great place with a nice vibe, just what Whitley Bay needed.

An exciting new bar/restaurant with a trendy vibe. Very friendly staff, well designed interior with a loft type look with exposed beams and ducting. Although we did not have food what was presented looked to book of good quality. The selection of drinks seemed to be of a Japanese theme. Would definitely return and probably try the food

The food here is really tasty, colourful, fresh, and you can tell it's good quality produce. I especially loved the sambousek cheese: the pastry was really light and fluffy and it had a hint of lemon which was delicious. Great wine list too! The decor is nice and there was a really good atmosphere, with just the right kind of style and volume of music for an evening meal. Will definately go back, so happy it is in Whitley Bay!

We went to this restaurant for Sunday lunch with our dog. I was a little unsure at first because the restaurant was mostly empty around 1:30pm. However, my worries disappeared when we tried our meals, as they were both delicious. The beef roast dinner was generous and fresh, and the lamb pie and mash also received great reviews. I'm not sure why the restaurant wasn't busier, as it has a nice atmosphere and serves good food. We will definitely be returning.

herr petit is a great place to taste a series of delicious dishes from all over the world. the portion sizes are quite small, so it is good to share a few different dishes on the table. we thought it was on the expensive side, although everything was delicious. we ordered the brot, which is warm sourded with butter. oliven, which is a mixture of black and green. the carnivore and cheeseboard. cute sticky ribs with swallow, lamb, queen dolls, kedgeree arincini, Mac cheese and Sambousek cheese. all with a bottle of wine, came to about £90. over all foods was great, the service-fab and we would definitely recommend coming!
