Cambio di guida nella brigata di cucina con la mano del nuovo Executive che subito si nota, spicca in qualità e detta un deciso cambio di passo a livello di qualità. Seguono senza perdere il ritmo la sala e l’accoglienza. Menù degustazione territorio mare senza sbavature e con lampi di ECCELLENZA. Ottimo imprinting avanti così…si può crescere e alzare l’asticella, c’è margine! Bravi tutti

An excellent Valentine's Day evening with a creative, fascinating and wonderful meal. The restaurant was full, each of all ages has a wonderful evening, attentive, but not intrusive service, very friendly and helpful staff who proudly serve her work and food and wine. An interesting selection of dishes served in an unusual way for a perfect evening, we left very happy and will return again.

When we arrived for our reservation we were surprised by the size of the restaurant. It was tiny. But…the tastes were not. Everything from the pecorino and honey with truffle and Piana dell Vigne to the octopus’s and grilled veggies. For the wild boar and tagliatelle and tagliatelle with sauce and buratta we were compelled to get a bottle of Luce a perfect compliment and all delicious. Of course we had to have the chocolate cake. YUM!!!

Siamo stati in questo ristorante per una cena speciale durante un weekend lungo a Siena. Ambiente raffinato, moderno e buona accoglienza, iniziamo con delle ottime aspettative la nostra cena. Peccato che il cameriere che ci seguirà per tutta la cena non è stato molto professionale e ci mette fretta sugli ordini, ci lascia i piatti senza presentarli: non il massimo per un ristorante di questo livello. Nel complesso tutti i piatti provati si sono rivelati buoni, in particolare i secondi. Piccolo entrè e pre-dolce offerto dalla casa. Conto elevato.

Went there with a friend and we both tried the Tuscan expedition 7 course menu, and maybe the first course was a bit lacking (a carrot soufflé with mayonnaise but from then on it only went upwards (and it escalated quickly! . We celebrated the 50th. My husband's birthday and wanted a special place for dinner. The reviews for Mugolone were amazing. When we arrived, they already had a note about my gluten/day allergy (not celiac). Our server said I could have everything on the menu! They would make it work. Wow, amazing. We decided on the tasting menu of 7 courses and it was fantastic. She tweaked my meal as needed and explained every course in detail. Our server was so nice and his English was great. A disappointing evening overall. Started well with friendly welcome and reasonable initial service, however as the night went on it became more disappointing and frustrating. We went for the taster menu with wine pairing (3 wines) The good points 1. The first three courses were excellent albeit served slowly 2. Good location and ambience The bad points 1. Mugolone is a wonderful “white tablecloth” experience, but without any pretension or preconceptions. The welcome is warm, the service both professional and personal, and the buona notte leaves you feeling like you visited the most elegant member of your family. Luca, the sommelier, is especially wonderful for those of us with limited Italian. The food was delicious, well prepared and of the region, and the portions are generous. Don’t miss the chicken liver starter with figs, which is a refined version of a regional staple. The poached egg leek soup was inspired.
