"We found this restaurant by chance, after finding all the antiques shops closed on a Sunday in May. It is extremely easy to miss the frontage, which would be a great pity as much culinary joy awaits inside. We took the set menu around 20...euros pp, which was very cheap for being just off Garibaldi. We were offered delicious amuse bouches for free: sublime bruschetta, squidgy doughballs, croquettes and tapenade. I started with a very generous platter of dried meats and provolone type cheeses, one with peppercorns, and another with herbs and spices. My partner started with a simple cauldron of mussles in a clean tasting lemon sauce. I then had meatballs (veal and beef I would guess) with spaghetti in a peppery and creamy mushroom sauce, while my partner had escalope Milanese, cooked crispy and without grease. We both finished the set meal with 'rhum baba ' which was in fact 4 cork shaped soaked sponges, surrounding a generous dob of pannacotta style cream. While we were there, we took note of the steady stream of locals, and Italians eating there, and made a note to return to try the squid with black pasta, the Mediterranean only racasse fish (usually in bouillabaisse), and the many other temptations passing us to fellow diners. Overall, it was a wonderful pick me up on a Sunday. Well fed, we gazed up at the colanders serving as lightshades, and admired the hand lined bread baskets. A great local restaurant in a slightly touristy area and with a sly humour of ambience which must draw the locals..."

If there were no recommendations on tripadvisor, we would probably not have gone there, because it does not look much like the outside. It is a very local place, and only menu cards in franc and Italian, so we had to guess and I had the food served, it was excellent, can certainly be recommended and at a very reasonable price!

We went to Nice first time and it was difficult to find good restaurant that everyone could find something to eat. We were lucky because found this place, there are many dishes of different seafood and they are so delicious . We liked food very...much and if we go to Nice one more time we will visit this place. I recommend this restaurant and give 5 stars

located between the garibaldi squares and the beauty island this place offers Neapolitan cuisine with simple, fresh and well-choiced ingredients. What I loved in addition to the nice welcome from Eliane and her assistant is the fact that I can see the kitchen at the time of the preparation of the dishes. This restaurant has become my favorite in this nice part. alone flat: I can't get used to the idea of seeing lasagna with a lettuce leaf.

I went to this restaurant after a friend suggested it to me and I am so happy he did! Our waitress Alessandra was friendly, knowledgable and very welcoming. After ordering our meals we were presented with fried dough, potato croquettes and tomato bruschetta - all delicious. When the food came out I was overwhelmed at the amazing flavour. It was so good I returned the following night! Being away from my family on holiday, this food made home feel so much closer. There's not a single thing I can fault this restaurant on. I highly recommend it!

we chose this restaurant by following the advice of the fork. managed by Italians, in the region of porto it is a rather small place with some tables where you can really breathe the air of naples, even if the service can at first sight be quite slow compared to the other restaurants, if you look at the clock you understand that in reality it takes the same time, but without frenzy. excellent cuisine fish house and really hearty dishes, excellent fried fish, with one we ate on two. - water-1/2 white wine-Two first friture-café fish dishes 52 euros
