New China Town - Menu

Came recommended as many restuarant's are closed on Sunday evenings in St. Omer as in other areas of France. Good selection of dishes, friendly staff popular with locals.

we visited this small restaurant after a day trip in st omer. the food was nice and good. the personal was friendly and went out of the way to find a taxi, a rarity) for us, us back to our hotel. in tilques.

here was a trip by chance when all tunnel hotels, where full, and what a tasty bite it was,Virtually nothing like the uk Chinese restaurants that we are used to, but what a beautiful experience it was. it was very good quality, but very cheap....would highly recommend when in this city

We went to St Omer for a trip out for dinner and Googled Chinese restaurants, thank you Google. This was a good experience for a unplanned visit.Food was good a great selection of dishes.Service was excellent, the waiter spoke good English, could not find anything...I didn't like........................................

visited with my friends as a guest in this restaurant for the lunch last week. we had a very tasty fondue de maison (for 3 people,) that removed our nostalgic feeling, which we ate in kamboja. if you want to taste an original kitchen, I recommend it. besides nice meals we had a delightful service from the owners. they have the right balance of ease and efficiency. they have everything we needed! Found this place after a horrible experience at a French restaurant. The place was very quiet but the staff were very friendly, once it became apparent that our French was awful they spoke to us in English and offered us the English menus. Because we...were the only customers our food arrived incredibly quickly. The beef in onions was good, however all the food was very greasy so not that pleasant to eat.

We came to the restaurant as it was adjacent to the Jazz concert in Victor Hugo square and it was surprisingly easy to get a table. We were hoping for a choice of more vegetables on the menu but there was only bean sprouts and...bamboo shoots which we had and they were delicious. The restaurant offers a range of cuisine including Thai and Vietnamese. To start we had the nems which were a bit inconsequential and steamed dumplings which were succulent and packed with flavour. For mains we had the house special dorade (sea bream) and squid with rice and bean sprouts. The whole dorade was served off the bone in a sweet spicy sauce. Couldn't ask for fresher tasting fish. It might seem rather odd to visit an Asian restaurant while you 're in a country world famous for its own local cuisine, but this restaurant is well worth it. (We chose it because we rationalized that France had historically had a huge influence in Southeast...Asia, so some great food ideas must have found their way back. Don 't let the name fool you. The restaurant does have excellent choices for Chinese food, but they also have some Vietnamese and my own favorite, Thai. My friend and I both ordered what is often, in the US, called Evil Jungle Chicken--a delightful combination of chicken, eggplant, coconut milk and HOT spices. It did not disappoint!
