Great place for a drink in the sunshine. Garden and decking have a wonderful view over open countryside. Nice play area for children. The interior of this pub is lovely and the food very good.

This is a fantastic spot for a proper family meal, complete with a wonderful outdoor playground where the kids can have fun. The location offers beautiful views of the river, making it even more enjoyable!

I met a friend there for a catch-up. It’s a lovely pub with plenty of cozy nooks and crannies. We both ordered the crab risotto, which was quite tasty, although it didn't have a strong crab flavor—I actually forgot there was crab in it! The service was good, and overall, it was a pleasant experience.

Ryan and his team were very attentive to our needs. Incredible experience for my wife and I. Not only was Ryan interested in delivering a first class service. He went the extra mile in making our candlelit dinner at The New Queen Inn a memorable one. 10 out of 10 for custome r service. I will recommend this restaurant to everyone. Thank you Ryan

This is a surprising 5 star review. Why? Well we visited a fair while ago and were not particularly impressed. This time. They managed to fit in a table of 9 without fuss or bother at VERY short notice. The service was excellent and most importantly the food was good. I mean very good. With plenty of parking, flat level access and an outdoor seating area with a kids playground I can heartily recommend this pub to all age groups. View menu

This pub is situated in a lovely location with plenty of parking available. It features a spacious terrace and garden, complete with a children's play area. The lunch menu is diverse and intriguing, and overall, the food is quite good and well-presented. Unfortunately, my venison steak, which I ordered medium rare, arrived overcooked without any pink, making it dry and tough. Additionally, my wife's chicken, ham, and leek pie was reportedly too salty. If it weren't for these issues, we would have rated The New Queen five stars.

Came here for Christmas day and was so impressed! We were a party of 4, had the Turkey, beef and Duck, were absolutely blown away! Now we are regulars! The food, the service and the atmosphere are all so very good. The managers are so personable and welcoming, as are the staff who are attentive and hard working. We've been exploring many outlets for the best Sunday roast, after more than 15 tried so far in the christchurch area, the New Queen is no. 1! The live music on a Sunday afternoon creates a wonderful atmosphere and everyone seems so happy! Could not recommend highly enough!!

Poisoned…. Visited Saturday the 21st may, staff were friendly and nice! I ordered mussels with a duck main, my wife had sea trout. When the mussels arrived there was no finger bowl or spoon presented. After sorting this i de shelled the mussels I was slightly concerned that the shell was 3 inch plus and the flesh was the size of a penny! However on tasting the dish I was automatically concerned on the amount of salt that chef had used. This later proved to be the least of my problems, I asked to speak to the chef who was busy, so I got the manager. Upon tasting it himself, He Agreed that it was not very nice and not good enough.
