We turned up unannounced they were very accommodating the food was amazing, service was great and the coffee was fantastic. Will definitely go back

Fantastic food, lovely people. We had the prawn starter which was sooo tasty. Unfortunately we weren’t very hungry so will definitely be going back again for more.

We popped in here before watching a show at The Playhouse. Friendly attentive service. We ordered baked cod with garlic and onions and the baked cod with prawns. Plus a bottle of wine. Delicious. Fish was cooked to perfection.

It was very difficult to communicate our order to the staff and when the food did come, the potatoes (served with all dishes) were over-salted. We had to ask them to turn the music down as it wasn't helping to create a relaxing atmosphere.

Really enjoyed! Comfortable seating, beautiful Portuguese music in the background, very tasty food and friendly service. They didn't have one of our dishes and only realized when everything was brought to the table. But the waiter promptly offered a very tasty option in replacement. Will come back for sure!!

I’ve ordered a lot from this place but the last two times the food was not good and the portion is getting smaller each time but wat I was more desapoint about was about the almond cake it’s was clearly old leaving a terrible taste on the mouth I feel bad about writing a bad review but at same time bad for paying for not a good meal .

Met for dinner before a brilliant show at Stockwell Theatre so needed an early meal. The restaurant was very busy with mostly Portugese diners, all enjoying some very interesting and delicious food. The service was excellent, and as some of the items on the menu were unfamiliar to us, the proprietor was very helpful in guiding our choice of dishes. A most enjoyable dining experience.

I went to this restaurant with my husband on a warm evening and we sat at a table outside. While we were enjoying our wine and waiting for our food, two other customers (I assume regular), came and stood by our table and smoked cigarettes, They were part of a large and noisy group of Portuguese people inside the restaurant. I politely asked them to step back a little as they were standing next to our table and the smoke was blowing in our faces. Not realising that I understood Portuguese, rather than stepping back they began to loudly complain, in Portuguese, about the 'English **** who thinks she can tell us what to do ' and telling other customers and passers-by to come and smoke in my fac...

I decided to try it out when it was quiet. I had a late lunch, around 2:30pm, and I was the only diner. The tables were well prepared and staff were observing social distancing and Covid safe working practices. I started with the usual olives, bread, butter and fish paste, then Canja (chicken soup) as a starter and followed by Bacalhao a Braga, a dish of cod in a light batter covered in onions and red peppers with thinly sliced potato rounds roasted in the oven. The dish was delicious, cod cooked just right and the fish was so big it would have easily satisfied two people therefore I didn't finish it! I had a small Mousse de Maracuja (passion fruit mousse) to finish. They do wine by the jug...
