Oatsheaf - Menu

We were staying in Fleet for a couple of days and had an evening meal at the Oat Sheaf. My wife had the lamb and I had the sea bass, Both meals were delicious and nicely presented. We were well looked after by Lily-Rose.

If you haven’t tried the Oatsheaf for a meal recently please do give it another try. We have had a few meals there in the past two months and each have been faultless. Absolutely fantastic steak, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. Please keep doing what you’re doing team!

Terrible management The manager should NOT be behind the bar during the busiest periods. He should not be a manager at all if he prefers to hide away when the staff need his support??? Absolutely shocking behaviour and there no excuse for it. Drinks arrived at our table when the food was delivered….. Staff running around like headless chickens. Nothing is organised but that’s down to the lazy manager. Sort it out

Had a celebratory gathering with friends here last night. The staff were very accommodating when we wanted to decorate with balloons etc and provided a little alcove so we could be more private and out of the way. The waiter Kwan (I think was his name) was very helpful and went out of his way to help us. He also brought out a special dessert for my friend as it was her birthday. All in all we had a lovely evening. Thanks so much.

Jess and Callum made our Christmas party of 16 absolutely fantastic! They took care of us from the beginning to the end, fulfilling all of our requests promptly. Despite having a large table of 16, the food was delicious and came out quickly. They even accommodated a few allergies in our party, ensuring that everyone was well taken care of. We highly recommend this place! Thanks to Jess and Callum, our Christmas party was unforgettable!

My wife and I, accompanied by our daughter and son in law, thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday lunch at the Oatsheaf. My son in law and myself will testify that the trio of roasts was superb and plentiful bottomless gravy included whilst our ladies really enjoyed their fig and dolcelatte roasts. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was very good and not too noisy, even with many enjoying their lunches, and the humour and helpfulness of our waiters added to this. An excellent Sunday lunch which we definitely recommend.

What a terrible experience, arrived and sat at our table for 10minutes, has to go to the bar to order drinks for our meal. Ordered 2 x Sunday roast, both arrived cold. Waiter took them away and returned 15 mins later, the plated had been left under a hot lamp, Yorkshire's were like cardboard, gravy dried up and veg shrivelled.Nobody came to the table to ask if meals were ok, then plates removed whilst I was still chewing. Presented with the bill and not even asked if we enjoyed our meals, no wonder it was almost empty. Will never go back

The restaurant offered a good variety of food options and most dishes were of good quality, although the creme brulees were not impressive. Unfortunately, the food was not very hot when it arrived at the table. One dish had a clearly marked allergen on it, but the staff quickly replaced the meal and removed it from the bill. The wait staff were friendly, accommodating, and helpful, however, there were long wait times between courses, despite there being many empty tables. Overall, it seemed like the kitchen staff did not meet the high standards set by the front of house team.

The restaurant was average. We decided to have lunch there after seeing some local places that looked promising, but unfortunately the food was just average. The staff behind the bar were pleasant and chatty, but when the same person brought us cutlery, she was on the phone and didn't acknowledge us, just placing the cutlery on the table. The food took a while to arrive; I ordered the crispy duck noodle salad and my husband ordered the chicken burger. My salad had very little duck, maybe just 5 small pieces, and the rice noodles were clumped together like they had been microwaved. My husband thought his burger was nice, but for the price we paid, we expected more. The burger was £17.95 and t...
