"A 3 month spell living in Seoul has given me a lifelong love of Korean cuisine and I can easily say this is the best Korean meal I have eaten in the UK The food is fresh, bursting with flavour and, most importantly, 100% authentic and it is hands down the best meal I have eaten out this year. For me ambience and/or pretentious luxury will always come a distant second to the quality of the food and places like this are one in a million. I had bibimbap tonight with various banchan and kimchi and I will be going back tomorrow to try more of the amazing menu."

My friends and I make sure to visit this place at least once a month. The food is delicious and the entire atmosphere has a cozy, homely warmth to it.

Extremely tasty food. The staff were nice and answered any questions I had. I ended up eating the same amount as the couple opposite me as the food was so good.

I have been wanting to visit this place for a while, and I finally did! It's a small and cozy restaurant with wonderful staff, excellent service, and amazing food. I would love to go back again, but it always seems to be closed whenever we pass by.

The Korean food at this restaurant is truly authentic and delicious. There are no fusion burgers here, just traditional dishes that remind me of home. As a Korean myself, I can attest to the quality of the galbitang, pork stir fry, and seafood pancake we ordered. It's almost as good as my mom's homemade food. View menu

A little gem of a restaurant, very unassuming from the outside but don't be fooled! I went with a group of friends and we ordered a few dishes and shared, would recommend doing this so you can try lots of the menu. We arrived at opening at 4 and by 5 it was nearly full, so be aware its very popular! Would recommend the yangnyum chicken, haemul pajeon and dolsot jeyuk-deopbap (also it is cash only)

I love this place, so much so that I drive 45 mins just to eat here. The chicken wings are the best I have ever had, the cheese buldak is oddly addictive and the bibimbap is the most comforting thing I have eaten in a long time. The staff are great, it gets full fast and can seem chaotic but I think that adds to the whole thing. Last time I went they were closed, I am not ashamed to say I nearly cried. Take cash as they do not take cards.

Very basic décor. Food took a long time to arrive. I ordered spicy which it definitely wasn't. Portions were small and did not come with rice (we weren't asked if we wanted any). Two meals and one orange juice cost over £30. VERY expensive. When we wanted to pay, they wouldn't accept bank cards of any sort! NO MENTION OF THIS ANYWHERE not when we arrived or on the menu. We were forced to wait a long time while a bank transfer went through! NEVER AGAIN!!!!! View menu

I've been here four or five times now in the past 2 months and the food has always been superb! The service can be a little slow at busy times (like anywhere else) and it may not be a fine dining experience to necessarily impress the other half (at first), but when the food does come it is certainly worth the wait! Would highly recommend the yangnyum chicken, the cheese buldak and the Japchae as all three are incredible. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

We went on a Friday evening. We went quite early hoping to beat the crowd, but they just had few tables sat down just before me, so they were swept off their feet. There were signs asking customer to be patient and a hiring sign outside. When the food finally turned up, they were very good, very authentic. The menu outside, menu on the TV screens, and the menu are not matching each other, so it is a bit confusing. Food is ace, will definitely go back, hopefully they will be more organised next time.

"Went here last night at the tail end of an office Christmas party and we stumbled (quite literally inside having been turned away at a restaurant next door. It was past closing though their OPEN sign was still on. Anyway! Although Oppa was just about to close, they took us in, a group of 6, and stayed open until we finished. When I realized we were in a Korean restaurant, I was so excited; I've been searching for a good Korean restaurant in the midlands. My colleagues were much less so as they had never had Korean food and were unfamiliar with everything on the menu. I ordered for everyone and despite some of them being difficult one colleague kept asking for samosas, aah! the service was faultless. Staff were super attentive and helpful, patient, friendly, good fun, and extremely accommodating. Just perfect! And they stayed open for us quite late without rushing us out, what more can you ask for? Ok, so the food. It was SO so good and I'm already planning to go back. The kimchi was bang on how I like (a big deciding factor for me strongly fermented/pickled and spicy, and fresh. All the bulgogi (marinated meat , dolsot bibimbap (sizzling rice bowl , jjigae (stew/ramen style soups , seafood and extras that were served tasted just like I had hoped they would. Presentation was great everything looked properly appetizing and vegetables and seafood, etc were all clean and fresh. I was too busy stuffing my face and enjoying the moment and company to take photos, but the few photos I've seen on here are true to life. Other things people might be interested in: This restaurant is kitted out to cook Korean BBQ at/in/on your table. It is spacious, with lots of tables and room to move around. Decor is tasteful and minimal. It is clean and indeed I was warned by staff when going upstairs to the ladies' to be careful as the stairs and the toilets had all just been cleaned (and clean they were! . If you're looking for good Korean food, look no further. If you're looking to try Korean food for the first time, this is a great place to start. Go for it! Might see you there, if I can help it :D [I've copied this review over from where I originally posted it because this listing and the one for OPPA in Leicester are the same exact restaurant, FYI]"
