"Lunching with a client based close by. So many restaurants in the area have closed, Oscar a safe bet. Tried to book on line, got 90% through the process then they asked for my credit card details for a lunch booking for two at a pretty ordinary, hotel based restaurant. Seems OTT and made me uncomfortable. So I rang them, made the reservation, no credit card details needed. Daft. Staff were brilliant, great beers, food was fantastic pork schnitzel was superb but a little expensive adding chicken to the Caesar salad added £10 to the price! Added. The salad was already £20. For a Casar salad! Thus, £30 all up. Punchy."

We had a lovely visit for afternoon tea for my Mum 's 60th. The atmosphere was lovely, the food delicious and the service fantastic. They even did an extra 'happy birthday ' plate brownie for her which was a nice touch.
