I went on the August in and in Switzerland it is a national holiday (like July) so I thought it might be closed but it was not so we went there and everything was amazing.We did not have Pizza so I don't...no what it was like but the soup (tomato)was epic and o.m.g. the pasta must of been one of the best pastas I ever had.It was a good value.

The open red wine also marvelous. So we did eat and appreciate the evening at his max.

After being to Osteria Ars Vivendi for a few times I can confirm the great food we had there the first time wasn't a fluke. Everything we tried was delicious, but I reserve a special spot for the Suppa di Pesce: literally the best fish...soup I ever had, with a mix of different kinds of fish and prawn, delicious toast and a creamy consistence it's always a treat. Pizzas are also especially good as is pasta. The service was also great every single time, though I should mention that we always sit upstairs, inside. All in all a great place to eat in the nice historical city center.

We come back regularly to the Osteria, as it offers great food and service at very reasonable prices. If the weather is fine, a table outside in the very middle of the city is of course the most logical choice, but we had to eat...inside once and we've found the place very clean and modern. Pizzas are among the best ones I've eaten outside Italy, but everything else, from starters to desserts is just perfect. Everytime we've been there the place was full, but most of the times they've been anyway quick, plus they're super friendly and nice. The only reason for us to eat somewhere else in Waldshut is because they have no place

Rainy saturday, almost snowing. What better than a glass of wine and a meal? Even more so if the reception is warm hearted. Its my second visit to this osteria that actually would classify higher than just that. They offer a wide range of italian...food , the usual starters, pasta and even pizza. The pizzas I haven't tasted but they are huge and look very tasty. My suggestion is to go with their specials. Today I did order a European sea bass in crosta di sale , which is the whole fish baked covered in a thick crust of coarse sea salt.
