Had a very good lunch. Sat at an outside table. Staff could not do enough to tailor everything to our taste. We enjoyed the food very much. Very friendly vibe. Nicholas outstanding. Thank you.

This is a great, little Italian restaurant, with a lovely, warm, homely and authentic feel. What's more, i just discovered that hey can do any of the pasta dishes gluten free! I can't wait to go back to try those. Great staff, lovely food, very cool interior.

We've been going to this restaurant for many years. This week we visited to celebrate my husband's birthday. Given that it was a Tuesday lunch time we assumed the restaurant would be relatively empty, in fact it was packed. But this did not detract at all from the service, which was excellent as ever. We have dined happily many times at this authentic Italian restaurant but last night was hugely disappointing for a very simple starter, bruschetta, that I had to send back twice! The two bread slices were not toasted the first time and only one piece had been toasted the second time. In addition there was no trace of garlic on all slices. So sad

Our flight was cancelled at Heathrow so we found a hotel the the area and decided to try The Osteria Del Portico . The service was excellent and the food was right on point. I had a fish stew that was really good. The best part was when we needed a taxi to get back to our hotel, the waitress ran out of the restaurant and boarded a taxi and brought it to us. Service beyond the usual.

My family and I went to this restaurant for an early dinner on a weekday and easily found a table. The service we received was outstanding and our drinks were served promptly. We had time to look over the menu before ordering, and our food arrived at just the right time. The owner even helped us choose a great wine to accompany our meal. I would call this restaurant average at best. We arrived early evening and sat outside. The service all seemed very casual. The waiter seemed almost bored. We ordered the sharing plate to start with some bruschetta. The plate was very average the bruscehetta very good (probably the only part of the meal we could say that about). The waiter returned to take our main order and we had the mixed meat platter and some side. We had the Chianti wine which was again nothing to write home about. The waitress offered us some Limoncello at the end of the meal. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with our experience at this Italian restaurant, despite high expectations based on previous reviews and local recommendations. Booking a table was simple online, and we opted to sit inside. The waitstaff were very attentive, perhaps a bit too much so, as they wanted to take our food order at the same time as our wine order, even though it was still early in the evening. Unfortunately, both the calamari "suppli" starters were underwhelming, with overbattered calamari that seemed to have come straight from the freezer. I don’t know how it has the stars that it has and how it gathers the reviews that it does, but it’s all unmerited. Frozen fish, cheap wines, frozen babà with nowhere near the classic level of rum required. A friend ordered spaghetti al ragù which showed up like a plate of leftover pasta overcooked, thrown together in the manner a teenager would present it and some of the spaghetti looked broken, I suspect recycled from someone else’s leftovers. I’ve never seen anything like this. I was given a taste of wine before deciding and it came in an overly refrigerated bottled with almost spit level at the end and needless to say, it tasted burned from the cold and acidic.
