"I've been here before with a small and it was great. However, I went with a larger group and they realized we were Americans and up sold us on a couple of dishes and followed us to the door and pushed for a tip. Unfortunately I was being treated for the meal and didn't realize that the person paying tipped 50€ which is not customary. I felt like they were taking advantage of us. This is unfortunate because this was going to be a great local spot for us because we live very close by. It's a shame because they would have gotten a lot of repeat business from us but instead they took advantage. We will not be going back unless they resolve the situation."

We went to mammarosa for the last two nights, which is not something we would normally do, but the risotto convinced us that this was a very very good place to eat. Each dish was excellently prepared and the service was amazing. 2 special nights in Milan. Grazie Mammarosa!

A great restaurant, sparkling interior, great menu, service was charming, friendly and helpful. As an example ,We were a family booking of 6. 4 of whom were over 20 but below 25. As a result starting out in terms of enjoying red wine…Julio helped choose an affordable but delicious red wine which suited the meal brilliantly. Would love to come back View menu

As frequent visitors to Milano we have used this restaurant several times and never been disappointed. The staff and service have been excellent, with a good menu choice coupled with a welcoming glass of wine and aperitif. The food is of excellent quality and what I feel is a great and unusual part of the meal, the waiter brings a tray with the different deserts available to our table rather than choosing from a menu ...... a nice touch. A quality establishment I would highly recommend

Great place for a family dinner. Excellent food and ambience. We really loved majority of the dishes we tried. Service was extremely friendly. Maybe some improvement in professionalism? Prosecco is a great aperitif but would be great first to ask the guests before filling the glasses: not a big deal we liked it . Second moment when I ordered red wine … 125Euro is not even average price for wine in the cart.. Waiter checked 4 times ! if I know the price: Again all in very friendly way. Generally we spend great Christmas evening, in very friendly atmosphere, great food, great wine. We loved it! Strongly recommended!

"Visited months ago The label of a vegetarian restaurant absolutely does not correspond to what Joia represents in the Italian gastronomic panorama. We are talking about the maximum expression of haute cuisine, overwhelming ideas, bold and unexpected combinations, exceptional raw materials, all served in an exclusive environment suitable for providing customers with a fantastic experience. Chef Leemann showed up in person to take the order and give his suggestions on the sequence of dishes. The service staff has always proven to be very prepared to answer all our questions or curiosities about the dish itself and this knowledge was not only the heritage of the waiter who brought the dish to our table and described it to us, but of all the staff who, even randomly, we stopped to ask for further explanation! The wine list was excellent from which we chose a Barbera d 'Alba by Bartolo Mascarello. But let 's get to the food. As entrees... and calling them entrees is definitely limiting! We were offered 2 wonderful tastings which unfortunately I cannot remember in their composition, but the first was a cream with carrot and rhubarb served in a mini terracotta vase, while the second appeared like a palette of colors where some fantastic raw materials sauces could be combined manually. My lunch then began with the Cantiam la montanara where, under a soft celery foam, there was a composition of green asparagus, spring onion and truffle on chopped borlotti beans. Fantastic dish, sublime with exceptional aromas!. I then continued with The navel of the world , a wonderfully plated dish where two types of rice are used, one as a base made with asparagus and watercress, and in the center a Venere rice cake finished on top with saffron almond cream . Finally I closed the lunch with a selection of 8 cheeses, some of which were truly exceptional, accompanied by jams/honey. Obviously the bill is in line with the proposal and with the experience. I must say that it was truly a pleasure and an honor."
