"We visited this restaurant for the first time with friends from abroad, and it was a bit of a letdown. It was the only pub we found that didn't offer fish and chips because they had run out. The selection of beers was also quite limited. The roast we ordered arrived lukewarm, and the fish fingers from the kids' menu looked like processed food served at a premium price—they were as hard as rocks. Overall, the experience felt significantly inferior to the pub next door, which was fully booked for the occasion. The venue itself was nice, but both the service and the food need considerable improvement."

really enjoy coming to the oyster catcher. really nice to sit on the top floor with views of the river and the environment. was a bit disappointed by the lunch card, but fortunately they were really accredited and we ordered the salmon from the dinner menu that was excellent. it would be good to have more choice during the day on Saturday, as it was quite limited. eating was really good, but service was excellent.

Really enjoy coming to the Oyster Catcher. Really nice to sit upstairs with the views of the river and the surroundings. Was a bit disappointed by the lunch menu though but fortunately, they were really accomodating and we ordered the salmon from the dinner menu which was excellent. It would be good to have more choice in the day time on a Saturday as it was quite limiting. Food was really good though and service was excellent.

We visited the restaurant for a family dinner and found the service to be somewhat inattentive. The steak and seabass were excellent, but the mozzarella side was overly salty. We were disappointed to learn that they were out of oysters and fish soup. The starters were a bit unusual; the beetroot salad consisted of large chunks of beetroot and lacked creativity. Despite the shortcomings, we might consider giving it another try in the future.

To make matters worse, it appeared that the restaurant started preparing for the next day at 6 PM on Sundays. As the only guests in the room, we felt somewhat neglected, with the waiter forgetting about us for long stretches. We had to wait 20 minutes between finishing our main course and receiving the dessert we ordered, which was frustrating. This restaurant has great potential, but it seems to be missing the mark in delivering an enjoyable dining experience. View menu

Additionally, it appeared that at 6 PM on a Sunday, the restaurant starts preparing for the next day. Unfortunately, even though we were the only guests in the room, the waiter frequently forgot about us. He neglected to bring water and left a 20-minute gap between clearing our main dishes and taking our dessert order, by which time my wife and I had lost interest. It’s a shame, really, as the location is fantastic and it seems well-equipped to deliver a much better experience.

The restaurant is acceptable for a family meal, but the service was not very attentive, and the food took quite a long time to arrive. The steak and seabass were excellent, but the mozzarella side dish for the main course was overly salty. I might consider going back, although it was disappointing that they didn’t have oysters or fish soup on the menu, which may skew my review. The starters were also a bit unusual; the beetroot salad was made up of large chunks of beetroot, lacking creativity. Overall, I’m open to returning.

It was our first time visiting this place with friends from the countryside. It was the only pub that didn't have fish and chips available (they said they had run out). The beer selection was limited, and the roast we ordered was lukewarm. The fish fingers from Kindermann looked like a very industrial product pretending to be premium, and they were as hard as a rock. Overall, it felt like several levels below the pub next door, which was fully booked for the occasion. While the venue has potential, the service and food definitely need significant improvement.
