"Took my mum who uses a mobility scooter for lunch and a browse of christmas decorations. We were able to access the cafe using the exit so it wasn't so far to the cafe. Staff were lovely, food was excellent with orders taken at the counter and then table service. Tables were well distanced and everything was spotless. A chair with arms would have meant mum could transfer off her scooter but there was room for the scooter instead. Beautiful selection of christmas decorations as well and helpful staff who knew where we could find what we'd come for. And the icing on the cake brand new toilets with a well equipped disabled toilet. Yes there is a ramp for access but there is plenty of room. Support rails by the toilet and easy access wash basin. The privacy of going to the toilet without assistance was much appreciated well done Palmers"

Everything we ordered in the café they were out of. It was only 1:30pm. No staff, but at least the place was clean.

But I'm getting a little bit bored of the menu now. Service is good and I have always found the place really clean. Food selection is good but the menu has not changed for some time but that maybe because I'm a regular

Come here often, at the moment the Xmas things are out, and we had a friend with us who loves Xmas and she saw Santa walking around who made her day. The cafe is always good, food and service excellent, always worth a visit View menu

After having a walk around the garden centre I decided to treat myself and 2 year old daughter to lunch at the cafe, as expected we waited to be seated which was fine, I walked over to the counter where there was just 1 person...

Despite being very busy we didn’t have to queue for very long. Made to feel very welcome, COVID rules were clearly explained and we were shown to an obviously well cleaned table. Service was quick food was good but the bread served with the soup...

Went on Sunday 12/09/21 for morning coffee and cake. No scones and the cakes were really disappointing, there was about a third of a Victoria Sandwich, 2 chocolate fudge brownies, some chocolate orange slices that looked dry and not much else. The glass plates were... View menu

Went with a group for Sunday breakfast, it was a frosty morning and the log burner was roaring away to warm ourselves on. What I particularly liked is that with the 6 9 piece breakfast you can select the individual items you want, really beneficial when you have a fussy eater with you. Although there was an unfortunate issue with the order not transferring to the kitchen this was quickly rectified and 4 hot breakfast were swiftly delivered to our table. The food was of good quality and good value for money. We will definitely return.

I recently visited The cafe at Palmers garden centre Ullesthorpe for breakfast with a friend. The website states that the vegetarian breakfast is £5.95 including toast and tea or coffee. When we ordered we were charges £8.95 each and the server denied all knowledge for the website menu. The veggie sausages were awful, poor quality and should have been listed as vegetable fingers, because that’s what they were. There are a good range of both vegetarian vegan sausages on the market, so why they serve up such rubbish I don’t know. Awful breakfast, will not go again will certainly not recommend.

"I visited my daughter and son-in-law last week and on my request they had booked a table for us on black horse on Saturday night at 1 o'clock. we arrived shortly before the pm and all four of us stood in the bar where two were served. it wasn't busy. no one told us anything until the bar was clear and then one of the ladies looked at me and I said we booked a table in my name of my daughter and she saw the bookings and said oh yes, we had table assigned and pointed into another room. there was no greeting no smiling, so we met our way to the table and sat there. there were no menus on the table, so I stood up to find some and someone only made their way from the other room in the direction of our table. we ordered drinks that were in themselves a task, as they had no free or dietary limmonade, so I had to go to the end for a gin with slimline tonic. then we ordered four different meal times. I ordered a vegetarian curry in naanbrot and when it finally came, I was so disappointed because the naanbrot was burned and the curry was cold on the outside, so I asked them to take it back. the waitress asked if I wanted to order something else and I went back. my daughter then shared some of her meals with me, who were chicken pupils. they were coated in a teig that was extremely fat. the menu does not seem to come out of any meal with fresh vegetables, everything seemed to come with chips and draughts, even the Steak-Mahl came only with chips and draughts, no mushrooms, tomatoes, wobble rings or something. I wasn't impressed. for a pub that wants good reviews, I think they have lost the property. the customer service is everything and fresh vegetables is essential. I'm sorry to be the bearer worse, but we won't come back."
