"Nach sieben Jahren Pause war ich durch Zufall heute wieder mal in der Goldenen Krone. Meine letzte Erfahrung in der Lokalität war eher bescheiden. Darüber hinaus schwirrt mir die Erinnerung an die alte Goldene Krone mit seiner sehr rustikalen Einrichtung noch im Kopf. Das Interieur der Krone entspricht dem eines gehobenen asiatischen Restaurants. Die komplette Wandverkleidung besteht aus Bambus. Es gibt viele kleine und größere Details, welche den Gastraum als sehr angenehm erscheinen lassen und das Wohlfühlen garantieren. Das Personal ist freundlich und zurück haltend. Ein Kellner wies und freundlich darauf hin, dass das angebotene Buffet fast ident zum angebotenen Menü ist. Und bekanntermaßen wird die Goldene Krone wegen dem preiswerten Buffet viel besucht. Das Essen vom Buffet ist genau wie vor sieben Jahren einfach nicht gut. Masse statt Klasse. Alles schmeckt irgendwie gleich. Ich habe viele asiatische Buffet kennen gelernt. Dieses ist wirklich billig. Beispielsweise wird typischer Herrenkuchen wie von der Tankstelle serviert. Das Sushi ist sehr trocken und schmeckt einfach nicht frisch. Ich probiere es in sieben Jahren noch mal..."

"Fela appears to be the most popular restaurant in the most popular part of Leipzig, the Suedvorstadt, on the most popular street, Karl Liebknecht Strasse, affectionately called Karli. The owner, a Leipzig native, clearly cares not only about offering seasonal dishes of very high quality but also...about the physical setting, a melange of colors, shapes and tastes that please the eye as well as the palate. The restaurant only opens at 5 p.m., except on Sundays, when brunch is served beginning at 9:30 in the morning. We had dinner at the Fela and particularly liked being able to taste a variety of starters from a menu of eleven different choices reminiscent of tapas in Spain. The menu choices change every two months, depending on the time of year. As we were there in winter our favorite main dish was a leg of lamb served with an excellent selection of root vegetables and greens. The Fela also has a small bar with a rather unique specialty: 17 different Gins from around the world, many of them very rare ones. A real treat for gin and tonic lovers like myself, especially since I was also able to choose from four different tonics! We will definitely return to the Fela next time we visit Leipzig but will make sure to make a reservation beforehand because we were lucky to get a table."

"we just wanted to eat a happen during a party in the ut. a friend recommended the deli. small, economical furnishings and still cozy. the choice is kreatiw, vegan and homemade. the order is freshly prepared, especially after a few minutes a small masterpiece vegan cuisine is in front of one. delicious, fresh, homemade and inexpensive."

"Friendly service, good music, very crowded with families and local guys. Sure you will have to wait for the food as they seem to cook it freshly when you order. Menu changes from time to time, always something interesting. Very relaxed atmosphere, don't expect a servile waiter and white tablecloth. You will get a wooden table, some pierced service stuff, good food, drinks, and a good time."
