Peking Chef Chinese

Ordered from here by mistake and won’t be ordering again. Food tasted fine but the Singapore noodles were half the size that we are used to, it was like a child’s meal! My husband finished and is now looking around for something else to eat as he isn’t even full.

1st Chinese takeaway in Irvine. Ordering was easy and payment. Food arrived warm, so much oyster sauce on my Chicken Chow Mein, plus too many mushrooms. Ordered crispy chicken spring rolls with sweet chillies dip. Not crispy chicken, plus NO dip. Sorry but it's a No from me

I have used this chinese on many occasions. However this evening our takeaway was inedible. The smoked shredded chicken had a strong and urine smell and was immediately binned. Not even worth complaining back to the restaurant as I wouldn’t take any food from this establishment again. View menu

We ordered from peking chef for a little change. The food was delicious and the portions were a great size, especially compared to what they used to be like with previous owners. The curry sauce is a little strange, as it very red and very spicy but everything else was great. It's definitely worth a try!

one of the best chinese meals i have ever had. highlights were hot and sour soup, chicken in black bean sauce and the spicy chicken noodles. service was quick and friendly, portions were really good and food was fresh, hot and very tasty. my 3rd favourite chinese restaurant in the entire world, 1st in scotland! super job!

This was the first time ordering from here for more than 2 years as last time it was awful. We were pleasantly surprised as the portions were double the size and everything was piping hot and tastied delicious. We ordered salt and pepper chicken, fried rice, chips and curry sauce. The chicken spring rolls are the worst thing I think I have ever tasted, filled with a white gel, 2 bits of chicken and a few bits of grated carrot, not what I was expecting, tasteless, horrible texture, no beansprouts or vegetables just disgusting. Chicken fried rice was a handful of horrible textured chicken on top of rice, no ham, no peas, nothing, tasteless and chicken had the strangest texture and no flavour, just terrible and order was £14!!! Total waste.

The place has been redecorated with new wall paper and in closer inspection was not done by a professional We sat in for a meal looking for a freshly made dinner The warning was already on the table the free crackers are slightly damp , the service from the girls very pleasant . Order done and drinks serviced dinner was very quickly on table. Large portion of rice but to much salt and the beef curry sauce is very strange colour Not to mention the BEEF was bland and no way fresh The sweat and sour chicken was also some weird colour and chicken was dry very dry , to finish chips are reheated and actually was the best part of the meal £30 for 2 main meals with 1 bottle beer and 1 cola Not expen...

We have used peking chef a few times in the past as its not to far from us so more convenient than anything but after the last few takaways I think we will be the last. Its never been the best place for Chinese food but was usually ok and a few times we even found the food to be excellent but the last few times and been constantly poor from watery sauce in the chicken saty and peking spare ribs that were inedible as the were closer to charcoal than ribs dont know if its different chef's on different nights but you never know what you are going to get. My advice is vist one of the other takeaway places in irvine as there is better choices about and for a lot cheaper but if you still insist on... View menu
