"We arrived in Bedale after travelling for a while so we were hungry and needing food and coffee. We’d looked at the reviews and had already decided to visit this cafe and we’re so glad we did. From the minute we arrived all the staff were friendly, welcoming and obviously trained well. The service was very quick and the cooked breakfast, coffee and raspberry lemonade were delicious. We didn’t have room for cake but they looked good too. Highly recommended and we’d love to go again if we’re in the area."

A little gem of a place with really friendly and welcoming staff. Beautiful breakfast and the most amazing cherry and almond scone with jam and clotted cream. It certainly cheered up a very wet day in Bedale !

We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The sandwich and coffee were top-notch, with fresh bread and high-quality ingredients. The service was friendly and welcoming. We tried the Wensleydale, ham, and pickle sandwich and loved it. Definitely worth a visit!

Popped in here on Saturday afternoon with my daughter for a spot of brunch , it's a small friendly cafe , staff friendly and efficient. We ordered 2 full English breakfast with extra mushrooms, the quality of the food was excellent and quantity good also . We will be back when back in bedale .

Our visit to this restaurant was disappointing. The prices were incredibly high (especially for us Londoners) and the food was not very flavorful, everything was a bit dry. The sandwiches had too much butter, and the coffee was too bitter for our liking. We have no plans to return in the future.

This charming cafe is located in the heart of a picturesque high street in Bedale. There are plenty of gluten-free options available. The staff is incredibly friendly and courteous. The food is delicious and made fresh. They even provided a children's book to keep my energetic daughter entertained and quiet.

The cafe itself was small but cosy with calm decor and a view of Bedale. The staff were friendly and their recommendations spot on. Quiche has never been so tasty, subtly herby with a lovely texture (and no soggy bottoms! The prices were verb reasonable, the seating comfortable. All round practically perfect. And yes if we are in the area again we will definitely stop for lunch the next time.

"We arrived here for a 2 night stay for a wedding (Fri sat night). PROS: Lynsey the manageress she 100% makes it so fabulous. Lovely, welcoming, looked after us brilliantly. Due to some staff shortages, she was doing what seemed like 10 jobs at once! We ate on one of the nights food was delicious! Great service tasty food. Breakfast was also spot on set us up brilliantly for the day ahead on the Saturday! The Willow room which we stayed in was fab ideal size, lovely cosy too! The whole 2 night stay was extremely reasonably priced the place itself has a great feel about it like a big cosy house! CONS: If you like total darkness, take an eye mask for sleeping as the rooms can get really bright from the early hours. Also, depending on the room, it’s on quite a busy road so can be quite nosy it would be worth having earplugs if you like a quiet surrounding. Due to staffing, the bar doesn’t stay open that late, so be mindful of this, they will however put drinks in your room if you can’t make it back in time for the bar closing. Taxis there are no local taxis, so arranging transport to the wedding we were attending was a nightmare which we didn’t account for! Luckily after 6 different phone calls, we managed to get sorted. The only gripe I had was the confusion over the bill if you decide to charge things to your room, the bills aren’t itemised so it’s difficult to keep track of what has been charged. There was some confusion on checkout over what we should shouldn’t have been charged for, so definitely choose to pay for any extras outright to avoid any confusion or uncertainty before check out. Other than that, it was one of the nicest, most personal stays we’ve had out in a long long time. This was mainly down to the Manageress Lynsey who is fabulous at her job really does make it feel like home makes you feel super welcomed relaxed. Thank you lynsey for really making a stay a one to remember."
